Am I right in thinking they won't serve alcohol in the away end ?
    They didn’t last season.

  • A quick count up and looks like an ice cream and a flake to go

Why don’t they? Had problems in the past?

    I’m afraid I don’t know.

Pretty sure it's a space issue

Burnham has passed the bill to allow watching games having a drink.  There will be beer sellers wandering up and down the aisles instead.

There's literally no room on the concourse, so I kinda get it. They open up a bit on the street so you can at least get away from your seat at half time, but no booze.

Looks like this will sell out, probably by lunchtime. Another packed away end even if it’s a shorter journey this time but blows away the negativity of some posters around there being depleted enthusiasm for another 12.30 away kick off.
  • amazing, we're going to (eventually) sell out 2.3k for a local fixture and it's not even a new ground , terrific support

Wonder if their little GK , who did the half time penalty shootout last season will make an appearance .
    Proper legend

That was incredible wasn't it... Thanks for reminding me and our reaction giving him the oles whilst the home crowd basically ignored him was first class.

Sold out just under 3 weeks before the game as expected.
  • As for a beer before the game this is one of the few that are worse than Charlton, from an away supporters point of view.

Went to the spoons last season. excellent service, about a dozen people working behind the bar, 3 dedicated on the app and the rest had a small section to serve across the bar length. Although very busy, only had to wait less than a minute to get served.

Good amount of home and away supporters mixing and exchanging stories also.

There's a couple of other pubs off the high street too. We went in the golden lion last year and had a good laugh in there with the locals.

Nice beer garden if the sun is out. No real ale though.

Bout a 5min walk from Spoons, which is also decent as others have mentioned.
