    I don’t actually know how the lyrics to TC’s chant ended up as “samba”, the original song lyrics are “marimba rhythm…”.

    Because Palace did 'samba' for their Brazilian bloke França and everyone copied from there. Sad that one of our most sung chants comes from the Holmesdale virgins.

    That’s is devastating information. I knew we would have copied it from someone, I didn’t realise it was from them though. Doubly disappointing as we’ve retained their innovation in the lyrics which made sense for their player but makes none for ours.
