The angle from behind TC shows what a good goal that is.
I know TC has had his critics in the past, and everybody is entitled to their projections and opinions about our player who has just turned 23, however the critics have always been wrong about him.
If you don’t believe me then maybe the positive opinions of non Charltonians will persuade you, or the breathless opponents he outpaces, or the managers who double up on him.
For my part I feel grateful we have this ex Forest Hill school student playing for us.
Maybe people might holdback on the criticism of the desperately unlucky Zach Mitchell for a while and recognise he is still nearly two years younger than TC.

Ive always liked and supported TC and been incredibly annoyed by idiots who call him lazy and sloppy, especially when he's been played in the wrong position out of necessity, and constantly doubled up on. It's like listening to Magahat turkeys voting for Christmas.
We have just one or two players who can get you out of your seat, and he's one of them. I like also that he's a bit reserved, I want him to play positively and beat oppo players, and I don't care that he doesn't engage with banal questions from unimaginative interviewers.

The thing about TC is you could always see the player he could become. And he isn't that player yet even. But you can say that about a lot of young players who don't always reach their potential. This could be because of untimely injuries, not being able to get game time at the right level and time, even a lack of desire in some cases etc... TC has always had that high ceiling and sadly you do have people who don't really understand football who will undermine/underate him. He has now reached a level where it shuts them up completely but he can get better. I would put Leaburn in that category too. He started moving on the trajectory to the top earlier and then got a terrible injury. He is finding his feet again and is now a little behind Campbell but like him, he has a very high ceiling. Premier League high IMO. The other player we might need to set on that path could be Mwamba. It is going to be about these players ultimately, but the club have an important part to play and the fans need to support them through any tough spells.

So, TC went to my old school (Richard Rufus as well) so I love him even more!

If only the posters at the start of this thread had got their way and we’d started Apter or Olaofe instead…

    Chatty as ever  :)
Tbf the interviewer wasn’t helping much. Just asked him the same thing 3 times with slightly different wording. Should have asked how he felt scoring his first international goal
To be fair to the interviewer, it's in Honduras, so presumably English isn't his first language.
I got a strange sense of deja vu watching that goal from TC, it was almost like West Ham all over again, apart from the assist from the post. Really pleased for him.

It reminds me a bit of the goal he scored last year against Derby I think it was. In off the post, although that one was more of a true strike rather than a curler. Either way, just TC doing TC things, and I'm elated for him. He is Proper Charlton.
