Hi everyone and welcome to today's match thread

Today, yet again we have another one of those annoying 12:30 kick off's with a visit to The Valley of Norwich City, another team not having a great start to the season and currently find themselves one point and one place outside the bottom three on 8 points after losing the last five on the bounce, this just has to be the day we get three points, anything else just will not do.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the gaffer said: "The squad is very healthy. We've got Nathaniel Chalobah and Matty Godden back training with us now, which is a big plus, so we're in a strong position in terms of numbers and availability."…Kenny McLean, Papa Amadou Diallo, Ali Ahmed and Mohamed Touré are all set to miss out for the visitors.

We've met on 84 occasions, winning 34, the Canaries winning 19 and the remaining 31 encounters ending all square, our last victory over Norwich City in SE7 came on the final day of the Championship season in May 2009. Nicky Bailey opened the scoring before Deon Burton netted a hat-trick in an entertaining 4-2 victory

John Busby will oversee proceedings this afternoon having taken charge of six fixtures so far this season and dishing out 25 yellow cards, sounds a bit card happy at 4 per game…

TEAM…Charlton: Okonkwo; Ramsay, Jones (c), Koumetio, Edwards; Rankin-Costello, Coventry; Grant, Carey, Campbell; Kelman

Subs: Mannion, Bindon, Bell, Mesík, Mwamba, Knibbs, Alli, Leaburn, Mbick

Please, please, PLEASE don't lose today.

I have friends in the away end today, some of my grandson's schoolfriends are in the away end today ... if we lose our phones will go into meltdown.

That's before considering work on Monday ...

Seen a few Charlton death spirals in my time. We'll learn a lot today about how much we're in one right now

Well we certainly cant blame another poor result on injuries.

I would suggest we are massively lucky at the moment with squad fitness compared to every other team in the division

My Norwich supporting mate turned down tickets, breakfast, free travel and dinner from his daughter's company that sponsor the Canaries to take his grandkids to Buck House. Says a lot about how they are playing at the moment.

That’s good, club preview had him as available. 6-0 home win now

Make a game of it. From kick off, take one bite each time we successfully complete a pass.

Thank fuck Skipp not in squad
  • NJ true to his word about making changes.

Hopefully we will see a better performance than at Stoke last time he did.

Very bold starting Edwards and JRC given their lack of game time. Would have started Mesik personally.

Bit worrying we have no DCM on bench if something happens to Cov. If Skipp isn’t injured, that’s another bold call from NJ

We have laid a red carpet to our goal for Norwich through our midfield.

Please prove me wrong but don't like that line up one bit. For all Leaburns inability to score, I don't see what we offer up top. JRC from our the squad to starting line up. Mesik dropped. Let's hope we win

Hopefully it will be a big kick up the backside for Skipp.  Whoever we pick in the CM spots you can pick holes in.  Hopefully JRC and Coventry can do the job.  Big game for Carey too
