Spotted that myself,  enjoyed it greatly and reminded me of younger days,  still have the occasional day listening to IM,  first track I learnt on bass was Run to the hills,  fingers wouldn't cope these days though.

Yep. Egging them both on as well, every time it sounded like it was going to peter out he ramped it back up again. Fucker 😂

Maiden are one of those bands for me who has a complete cutoff point at a certain album. In this case, Seventh Son - literally could not give a shit about anything after that. But that run from Number Of The Beast to Seventh Son is unchallenged in metal for me. Five 10/10 albums in a row will never be bettered. Metallica had three (Lighting to Justice), Slayer had three (RIB to Seasons), and on the heavier side, Death and Carcass had three as well - but that level of consistency is absolutely unparalleled

Noting your post Leroy regarding the early Maiden albums, I have just found another post on YouTube where Nicko gives his Albums in order of favourite to least, and he has Seventh Son as 10th, and A mater of Life and Death as his favourite, and the debut Iron Maiden least favourite...each to their own I guess.

It's a good album to be fair, despite what old fogey Leroy says. ;-)

I like it, Proggy but melodic, was just curious if it was new album "best album we've done" talk.
  • Slightly off topic and not a fan, but I have been the plane they were using in 2011.

I’d hate to think where they stored the drumsticks.

The Final Frontier is a decent album mate.
