As in the less points we have the more likely we are to get relegated?jimmymelrose said:Less is more.1 -
What people do in their own homes regarding Christmas doesn’t really bother me, except that if they actually buy Christmas stuff before December then they encourage shops to sell it (this doesn’t include ordinary presents).
Do businesses not consider that they are actually spoiling Christmas? I find myself turning off radio stations and walking out of shops in November because I don't want it to spoil my enjoyment of Christmas songs. Seeing anything related to Christmas in November is an eyesore to me, and becomes a big black mark for me against their business and sometimes I bloody tell them so. 2 months is one sixth of the year. Do people spend one sixth of the year celebrating their birthday, Easter, etc too? If they think it makes themselves happier then I think they're making a mistake, hence my previous short post.
All it needs is for the public to refuse to but this stuff in November. The problem is people who buy the stuff. There are more important things to worry about but it is a real bugbear of mine.1 -

Mrs Idle worked for a time in White Stuff. She loves Christmas, but was always absolutely sick of the company Christmas playlist by the end of November. Bet they're not playing that at head office for ten fecking weeks!jimmymelrose said:What people do in their own homes regarding Christmas doesn’t really bother me, except that if they actually buy Christmas stuff before December then they encourage shops to sell it (this doesn’t include ordinary presents).
