[cite]Posted By: Oggy Red[/cite]Ground share at The Valley? - no only joking.

More practicable - and Scally and the Jills need the dosh - there's always Priestfield.

Otherwise where will our Stiffs and Women play?

I daresay they would end up at Darford if they had to share. Allow them to return the favour

Their website only says that the stadium is "designed to provide a home for the Darts right up to Conference Level football"

I think I'm correct in saying that a minimum capacity of 6,000 is required for league status.

It in fact appears to be 5,000

I looked up Onome Sodje on the Fleet site he is still only 18 (just a bit older than Lisbie:-) ) and has scored 6 Conference goals in 10 +18 appearances.

Why did we let him go? He seems more prolific than other strikers we've hung onto Walker, Varney for example.

he was farmed out pretty early to Welling as well, which was unusual.

May have been an attitude thing...

Sodje is a good player.Saw him play for the youth team a couple of time. Built like a brick outhouse. Another in the long line of players released. I think our youth poilcy is not working like it used too.

There are new rules in place - a club can only take on trainees within a relatively small area, something like a thirty mile radius, added to which the Premiership is not the place to blood inexperienced kids. In the past when we brought players like Konchesky, Newton, Rufus, Parker and Bowyer through the ranks we were playing in what was then Division Two, a bit less crucial, plus we got these players in the first place because we could promise them first team football at the age of 16 or 17, whereas with other clubs there was no way they could promise that.

Hopefully Dickson has done enough to get an extended trial until the end of the season but if we do sign him I hope he gets a chance rather than being stuck in the reserves before being farmed out to a succession of lower league clubs until he loses any ambition.
