  • I guess 4-4-2 with Ambrose on the right and Thomas on the left.

But Young, El K are back, and the big news is Darren Bent also returns, but how fit and match sharp is he??

No defenders among the subs, although Faye can play in defence.

Upson, Bowyer, Ashton & O'Neill missing for West Ham.
  • Konch booked already, sounds a great start...
  • Darren Ambrose...sounds as though he deserves the goal...

Is that his first of the season??
  • 2-0 Jerome Thomas...
  • 3-0 Darren Bent, Bent, Bent....
  • nice goal too - great ball from Moneybanks.

The JT goal though - fantastic - not dissimilar to Ronaldo's earlier today.

(ESPN Hong Kong - SopCast showing it live)
  • Wish I was there. Wonder what's going through the Alans heads' right now!
  • Half time all Charlton...

West ham fans already leaving the ground??!

Pardew I hope is saying keep it tight for the first 10/15 minutes, kill the game off, take the points and keep the score at 3-0 or better. Currently we move ahead of West Ham on goal difference as well as on points, but still a long way behind Wigan's goal difference.

Curbs is likely checking his contract and seeing what the severance terms are...

I wonder if Eggert is considering revisiting his remarks about Pardew losing the changing room? He appears to be fitting in ok in Charlton's...
  • fantastic passionate, all guns blazing performance

my half time marks out of 10.

The Charlton Team 10 - all of them

Song is a revelation in midfield absolutely superb, Thomas & Ambrose tearing 'em apart at will

Need to keep it tight for the first 20 & we're home & dry

    Come on !!!!!!!!!!!

ps - felt a pang of sorrow for Curbs as they zoomed in on him after the 3rd - but he is passionless, motionless

  • lol - this transmission must be a few mins behind - it's still 3-0 over here
  • it's 4 now!!
  • All over Hammers have been hammered!
  • Great stuff...whammies were shocking..how Curbs can play that Dailly is beyond me....Thomas took the piss out of him and Davenport...wouldn't be surprised if Curbs is gone this evening.....
  • Marks out of 10:

Carson 10: Couple of outstanding saves
Young 10: Destroyed Etherington in the 1st half
Thatcher 10: I love this boy - a total competitor
Diawara 10: Constantly got his body in the way of everything thrown at him
ELK 10: A different player under Pards - now does the simple things right every time
Thomas 11: Brilliant, again a different player - tore them apart
Ambrose 10: Wonderful first half, took a battering from crap like Konchesky & Quashie & answered in the best possible way
Holland 10: Quietly effective, a rock
Song 11: F*cking brilliant, won practically every ball - intelligent use of the ball & 110% effort - the midfielder we have been crying out for all season
Bent D 10: Give him the ball & he will score
Bent M 10: The partnership with D Bent is growing every game, 110% effort & a new lease of life

Hasslebaink 10: Jimmy at his best, he has the respect of the opposition & he was unlcuky not to score when he hit the post
Faye 10: he's hopefully finished because of Song but he gets 10 just for being on the pitch today
Zheng 10: looks promising, Pards handled this one well - took the expectations/pressure off him
  • Ambrose 10: Wonderful first half, took a battering from crap like Konchesky & Quashie & answered in the best possible way

I have to ask the question...had Romm played in that position do you think he would have responded in the same way as Ambrose did after the fouls on him by Konch & Quashie? I think we all know the answer...
  • well done Gray sounds like you enjoyed as much we did, very tense before the kick off though, am horse now for the first time in years.

Curbs is likely checking his contract and seeing what the severance terms are...

Quite prophetic, as it turned out ...... but not for another 18 months, lol
  • [cite]Posted By: salsa[/cite]nice goal too - great ball from Moneybanks.

Maybe Jimmy Floyd was a good player after all?
Except we found out to our cost that at 36 he could no longer run.
