[cite]Posted By: Valiantphil[/cite]In some USA states you can fly any flag you want as long as you also fly the Stars & Stripes from a higher position.

Excellent combination of freedom and patriotism.

Although possibly why surrender attempts never went to plan in the Civil war.

Love to see some jobsworth tell him to take it down because it's a distraction to local passing traffic...

The flag should be up all year (all home nations flags), only bigger at the World Cup / Olympics etc.

[cite]Posted By: Ru1986[/cite]Fair play to him i wouldnt do it becuase after the WC (when everyone hates England again) what a tit he will feel well i would anyway.

    Who will hate England again?

Don't see the big deal, it's not chavvy, it's showing support. Plenty of little cafes and shops around London have their nations bunting flags up, Algerian, Greek, Portuguese etc all adds to the flavour of the world cup.

    Agreed

The people in the flats opposite my office in Maidstone have hung a fekking great St Georges flag outside, it is tethered to 4 x windows, when I saw it I thought "bit chavvy but good luck to them as the world cup is on"

However when I drove past it and had a closer look it has the Lion in the top left hand corner and Millwall "pride of London" in the bottom right hand corner....................................I am writing to the council in the morning ;-)

Fortunately, we haven't got any Brazilian or German blood.

I see the two fellas painting that the other day. Just needs to sort out the front door now which looks like the police have been at it with one of those battering rams.

Saw a flag yesterday with Valiants through the middle and the Charlton badge in the top left corner. Looked superb. Is that anyone on here? Thought it might have been one of Steves flags.

That house looks brilliant, as do a lot of the pubs that have been painted with England flags. Don't think that's tacky at all, it looks quite professional.

  • Have to say I think they've done a good job on the house.

Just found out that my Mum and her neighbour had their England flags pinched from their houses overnight. One was hanging from the neighbours upstairs window!

No doubts a drunk person coming home from the pub. If anything you have to respect their dedication for going up there in the middle of the night, while intoxicated, taking it down and not getting caught.

Apparently they climbed up some trellis. Serves them right for putting it up to the window in the first place really, it's just asking for trouble!

House with the painted flag on is awesome. Usually not a fan of all the flags, mainly because I associate them with feckers who know nothing about football and are jumping on the WC/England badnwagon. Know this is a sweeping generaliszation.

I'm not sure of the road name, I think it's Woolwich Road? The house is right next to Bexleyheath school. I must say it did look good!
