I love the old spelling stroke punctuation stroke tense debate. It is very much important.

We had a laugh last week when the microsoft spell checker was putting in a was instead of a were ....

[cite]Posted By: jazzyjazzyjazzy[/cite]I thought doing that to the lady was very bad, i wanted to give her a cuddle. The man being called gay was also wrong, but a man being called names is different and a bit more acceptable.

Not that any was acceptable, but you get what i mean.

    No, not really.
  • Yep-have to side with KB and Leroy on the grammer side of things. And as for throwing things on to the pitch and the abuse? Disgusting!
  • Meaning, if i had to be rude/nasty to a steward i would rather call a boy gay then a girl fat. But as i say it was all wrong and not needed.

I think there's just a big difference between what 16/17yr olds find 'funny' and what those over 30 do. They'll grow up at some point.

Good win last night, lets not detract from that.
  • Totally agree AFKA!

I'm over 30, just, and I personally thought it was great that some good old fashioned terrace humour came back last night.

I would have to say last night that there were a lot more youngsters than ususal. Atmostphere most of the game was excellent even the Der Der Der songs seemed a lot more tuneful than normal. Most of the banter was very light hearted though, just a shame a few people on here who were obviously not at the game last night are trying to stir up a row. I suppose we are all bad people for standing last night as well which about 90% of the away fans did last night BTW.

I did feel sorry for that woman and the bloke at the front, childish humour but comes with the territory of stewarding away ends I suppose, sticks and stones and that.

Was good to see enthusiastic vocal support for once though, everyone standing and singing for the whole 90 mins.
  • Them lot making noise made the night for me, as i say i personally didnt agree with the name calling BUT maybe that kind of thing is expected when stewarding an away end? And with all due respect WHY in gods name would you put 1 fucking woman in front of 1000+ loud, noisy, away fans.

    [cite]Posted By: Brunello[/cite]I'm over 30, just,

Funniest post on CL for ages.

I was thinking "here (or is it hear) we go, another banter/atmosphere thread" and then I realised.

We only get these threads when we are winning.

No defeats means no sack the board/manager/tea lady/all the players are useless overpaid junkies/we'll be relegated and playing non-league soon threads so we have to have (or is it "of"?) something to row about.

So carry on. The more banter v respect, age v passion threads the better I say.

LOL OMG :- () COYA DTKLAMF

If you read back it is the children that were there and are writing how funny it was to abuse a woman that are causing the problems.

f*ck me there is some f*cking stupid comments on this thread.

I wish we'd only taken 300 and they had all worn gloves, kept quiet and sat on their hands for 90 mins

Back to the old days last night, toilet rolls, banter, very boisterous crowd, one steward tried to come in and make a name for himself. I didn't see where he went but assume he had a bit of sense and got out of there

All the older fans on here are being quite unfair.
Lets face it, when you all were that young no doubt you would have been the same.
If anything was really that out of line last night then action will be taken by the club, the stewards, the police etc.
So what are you going to achieve by moaning on here?

And why complain about incorrect grammar on here?
There must be thousands of threads on this forum do you really expect all of them to be perfectly worded?
How dare you post a reply correcting someone else's grammar when you don't know them from adam?
You don't know if they struggle with spelling so why assume they do and have a dig?

There was nothing wrong with the support last night, rather it was like that than bums on seats, prawn sandwiches and a polite natter

All that was missing was a terrace, roll on Saturday

Really enjoyed last night. Very much doubt the club will get fined for the bog roll. There will always be a few moaners (especially on here) but you can't please everyone. I agree a lot of young faces about but aren't they the future of the club? Our young support?Great banter, great singing, shit game! Anyone at HOME next game :)
