    The first half of the season is where we needed the points, two wins before Pardew turned up, and too many poor performances.

    You can look at the games against last season's promoted sides - two draws against Watford and draws against Reading and Sheffield Utd.

    Let's prepare for next season.

    And yeah I feel gutted for Ormiston.

    These are just details - we had to win this.

    Spurs at home and Liverpool away are must win games or else.

    Oh, stop it. All this 'must win' games stuff. I know the games I've mentionned are in the past but they were the 'must win' games. Please don't use that term anymore - it's getting ridiculous.

    Yes, but the difference now is that they really are MUST WIN games!

    Four points are now exceptionally unlikely to be enough, but six points could still do it.

    I agree and accept that we are as good as down, but mathematically it's still possible so we have to beat Spurs and hope Liverpool forget to turn up at Anfield.

    If they literally forget to turn up I agree that we may have a chance.

    If they do forget to turn up, that may not even be enough, as I'm sure the Premier League will take it upon themselves to rule that Liverpool would have won if they had turned up and award them the three points anyway.
