I liked him, he seemed a proper Charlton player he cared and had enough ability to progress in my mind. Unfollowed him now though as his pic is in a Hamsters shirt now0

Will be interesting to see what the future holds for him. There's no way he's ready for the Premiership. One of the few West Ham players who would benefit from them getting relegated I imagine!0

Maybe he would have done better in his proper position - I can only see a left back (where we played him) who was indeed solid enough for a couple of months as a stop gap but cost us games with alarming regularity. He seemed to me to get off quite lightly with people suggesting he replaced players who made less mistakes. I don't hate th ebloke and I know he did his best but it was pretty obvious that he wasn't good enough. I hope we sent him back after realising this rather than West Ham wanting him back - that would increase my confidence in Powell if the case.0
