I think that was our first home game of the season & I seem to remember the Taffs invading the pitch prior to kick off. Aah the good old days.0 -
23 June 1988
That was the Selhurst game when Ronny Rosenthal scored the "perfect" hat-trick. Right foot, left foot & a header, (not necessarily in that order). I think also our record crowd at Selhurst @28,000.Next Charlton match... 27 August - Charlton 0 Liverpool 3We lost 3 of our first 4 matches of the 88/89 season by 3-0 scorelines, to Liverpool, Millwall and Coventry respectively (with a 1-3 victory over West Ham in between)... we then drew 3 of our next 4 league games 2-2!

Why do we play Scunthorpe at home on the opening day of the season whenever we are in
the same division?
