bit left-field both of these... no complaints about Hamer but let's see what happens!0
-
Wonder if elliot is on his way0
-
Only Andy Hughes I can trace is a CENTRAL MIDFIELDER at Scunthorpe. He can also play as a full-back though (new RB?)... BUT... he's 33 and only 5'11".
stole my thunder there .. a strange signing, but we gotta keep the faith

if it is that hughes, then he's got over 500 league appearances. bit of experience and full back isnt a bad thing. you need the odd few players with that experience to get you out this poxy league. he got promoted with leeds in 2010.

Hamer talks on OS, so it looked nailed on!0

do you think hughes' arrival will mean solly is benched??
0 -
if you look at his record and experience yes0
-
I hope so. Nothing against the kid but he needs to be nurtured rather than rushed. He has potential but nowhere near the finished article. He'll get games throughout the season to aid his development.do you think hughes' arrival will mean solly is benched??

Scunthorpe fans hardly positive about Hughes.. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=460&fid=12&sty=2&act=1&mid=21167738850

It could be that for CP the Millwall game was a 'final trial'. He's probably had Hamer and Hughes in mind for a while and the (possibly) poor performances yesterday from Elliott and Solly persuaded him that neither is good enough and he's decided to get the H team in a s a p0
-
hmm that was in a very poor championship side. may be a different player in a good L1 team.

Sounds like what the Swindon fans are saying about McCormack!!0 -
If true on Hughes then I'd guess he's coming in as right back to replace Francis when he leaves and be either no.1 or no.2 with Solly.
Makes more sense that the rumour I heard of Andy Williams from Swansea

A striker was explicitly mentioned so I would think not... as above these would appear to be Elliot/Francis replacements rather than true additions0 -
So Powell wanted two players and these may be them? deary me
Who were you expecting? Ferdinand and Rooney?0 -
rooney's not tall enough for us0

Read his post match interview, pretty obvious another striker is coming in. Wants 4 and says Popo isnt ready.0 -
