I switched just after our first goal, which the (Spanish) commentators described as against the run of play at that moment. Apart from their equaliser, I thought we looked very good and deserved the win.

If it was Spain, 1000 to 1 they wouldn’t have said that. They had the odd five minutes, but England were far superior over 90 minutes.

Really hope they can win it. Especially as it could be classed as our under21 reserve team. Pathetic that a few were either forced of chose to play in that pathetic tournament being played across the pond.

Thought we started very well then went off the boil after the water break.

The first goal wasn't against the run of play but NED had come back into it.

Their goal was out of nothing but a very clever finish.

We got stronger with good subs and deserved to win. Totally in control at 2 - 1.

Final will be tough but this is a good team despite all the missing players

They did say it was the spell leading up to the goal, not the match or even the half.

England will play Germany in the final after they cruised through their semi final 3-0 v France.

Germany beat us in the group stage whilst resting pretty much all of their first XI. Their giant striker (Woltemade) who is attracting Premier league interest, has 6 goals and 3 assists in 4 games.

Some tough selection choices for Germany in that case. It won’t matter to England who they pick because they’ll go for a core team and only adjust it if necessary. Germany won’t have that luxury and will have the headache of deciding whether the players that ‘managed’ the England team when we played should be given another chance, or do they start with its first choice of players that haven’t as yet had to deal with the England players. As Charlton know from experience, fuck about with the starting eleven and your season looks like it’s turning to shit and you lose to Crawley at home. Stick with your core eleven and you win promotion.

The last time we faced Germany in a U21 final, they hammered us 4-0 in 2009 with a side full of players who went on to win the World Cup in 2014. Hopefully, history doesn’t repeat itself this time.

Maybe its time for the reverse to happen, we'll smash them 4-0, and Germany will still go on to win the World Cup in five years time.

Scott and Anderson have both looked really good from what I’ve seen.

Definitely a place up for grabs next World Cup alongside Rice.

That is 2 german players that should have been booked. Both were intent and nasty. None of them went for the ball.

Can't see Omari Hutchinson being in Ipswich's side first game of the season.

Any sensible nation would promote someone like Carsley to the full job, and then protect that person in the role, but not us

Could of been three after beadle made a hash of it but a great challenge after it to start another England attack.

Do other nations have such nasty journalists and their pay masters along with a lot of the locals and their uneducated views on football to protect their manager against?
