To be honest not really bothered. The Palace v Millwall game will have me confused and struggling to pick a side I'd want to lose. Probably hope Millwall win that one. Can't bare Palace winning another cup FFS.

Didn't know much about the Grimsby manager, David Artell but have discovered that he played 7 times for Gibraltar, has a degree in forensic biology having previously studied for a forensic and analytical science degree course. That would explain his calm, analytical approach to things and the fact that they are unbeaten in all competitions this season as a result. He was over five years at Crewe and has been almost two years at Grimsby in his managerial career.

Got the best years out of Charlie Kirk.

So, what are the odds that if I put the Grimsby Man U game on now, I jinx it?
    Did you turn it on?
No, literally just checking the score on BBC sport was enough, so I avoided going anywhere near it for the penalties. I've only found out the result just now, cos my Dad phoned to laugh at United.

Always remember the video of the boys in black in their surrey pub singing "fuck off millwall, south london is ours" while a police escort had already been arranged to get those nasty ultras from the pub to shithurst park to avoid meeting any spanners along the way.
  • Burnley v Cardiff (would've been Charlton if we won)
Probably a logical answer to this that i'm missing but if we lost to Cambridge and they've ended up with Fulham away, why would we have been away to Burnley?

His interview on sky after the match was different?
When asked if he was nervous during the penalty shoot out, said no: Artell stated that the only time he was nervous was 20 years ago at 2.30 pm in June, when in church, as the wedding was due to start at 2 pm and he thought he had been jilted !

David Artell was a quintessential lower League 6ft 3in CB and as mentioned by AA above, did get 7 caps for Gibraltar where he was a rock at the heart of the defence 🤦🏻‍♂️

Something to do with the balls and they way the are grabbed when in the bag.

...Or was it teams are drawn alphabetically.. anyway it's all overly complicated .

FFS - 90 minutes of booing Parker would’ve been well worth the train fare.
    How come?

Who ever knocked you out in the round before was always the team that you looked to see who you would have drawn; a bit like Jim Bowen on Bully !
We didn't win the Speedboat but we are up the creek without a paddle on the River Carabao.

Because it was alphabetical so if we'd have gone through Cardiff would have been given Cambridge's number and we would have had theirs.

Ball Number order was done alphabetically

Cambridge were No. 7, but had we been in the draw, we'd have been below Cardiff so we'd have been ball No. 8

Of course a change in the "space time continuum" may well have resulted in a totally different draw and we could have got Liverpool at the Valley
  • Do Millwall still have the same keeper?

Presumably to antagonise him? History has shown he’s likely to react.

Port vale v arsenal is the stand out game and possibly the Lincoln v Chelsea.
Both those games for the whole underdog story like Grimsby yesterday and they're both at home.

The boys in blue might be a bit busy guarding hotels or lampposts or roundabouts to protect the boys in black this time.
The spanners will have a field day 👊

Huddersfield vs Man City is a good game too, but less romantic, seeing that Huddersfield are ex PL and have a large modern stadium.

I had a battered Mars Bar in Cleethorpes on one visit. To eat.
I'm glad you decided to eat it rather than whatever else you were planning on doing with it!
