Strange timing though, he did an interview with Gary Neville on the Overlap recently and didn't sound like a man who was about to leave. Wonder if he has actually stepped down though, I saw a rumour a while ago that Joe Lewis' daughter doesn't like him so i wonder if he was pushed.0

Looks to me as though Joe Lewis is looking to sell up and Levy was in the way .. Spurs, new stadium, top quality training facility, improving team, who knows what the club is worth .. should be an interesting time over the next few weeks dahn White Hart Lane0

He has made mistakes and frustrated the fanbase.
He has also done quite a lot of good things for the club over the last 25 years.

I'd agree with that. As a shareholder, you'd have to say he's run the club brilliantly. The infrastructure is second to none, 'the brand' (aka #thebrand on my whatsapp group when we note another commercial partner sign up) has gone from strength to strength and puts us up there in the top 10 richest clubs in Europe, which given the lack of regular Champions League football is bonkers when you think about it.Dave2l said:He has made mistakes and frustrated the fanbase.

To be fair, you wouldn't have been playing at the Olympic Stadium. It would have been rebuilt completely as a proper football stadium, with no running track.JohnBoyUK said:

I also don't get the narrative that i've seen written in some places that Levy transformed Spurs. It's not like Spurs have risen up the leagues like Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth under his management, in my lifetime they have always been a big club.JohnBoyUK said:

In the 80s they won cups, regularly finished top 4 in the league, in the early 90s they had Lineker and Gascoigne playing for them and in the 2 years before Levy took over, Spurs won the league cup and competed in Europe.
Yes they've got a much nicer stadium, training facilities and are worth more than before he took over, but that applies to many clubs over the past 25 years. The football boom in this country because of the Premier league and post-Euro 96, means literally every single PL club is worth far more these days. Spurs are not worth more because of what Levy did, they're worth more just because they're in the PL. Look at United under the Glazers, they've done absolutely fuck all for the club and the club is worth about 3 billion more than when they bought it.2 -
