There is a theory on their forum that Emry saving players for Thursday and handing Spurs an easier game was a psychological message to Forest who play tonight. The latter now need to decide if they can afford to save players for Thursdays tie.

Palace put out a second string with other things in mind and are deservedly 2-0 down. Suspect Villa might do much the same thing.

A real shame they beat Newcastle recently or they would be looking over their shoulders right now.
It’s highly unlikely but still possible. Needs to start with a win for West Ham v Arsenal. I know it sounds nuts but when you look at Forest, West Ham and Spurs recent form, it's not impossible,  especially as Palarse seem to think it is impossible and are concentrating on a meaningless trophy.

Forest have made 8 changes from their Europa game.

I get why, as they're only 2 games away from the Champions league. The issue is that they're also 4 games away from the Championship.

They are great form right now, not lost since March 1st in the League. 5th on the form table too for the last 5 games. If they can hold on, you'd expect them to be safe after today.

Surely safe if they win this. Would be 6 clear of West Ham with a much better goal difference.

oh my word - Palmer misses a pen just on half time.

Strange incident with a clash of heads that lead to Chelsea youngest Derry going off.

This will sound a bit mad but at the moment there’s no real case for him to go to the World Cup. If you’d said 2 years ago that most people would want MGW and Rogers instead of him and Foden you’d be called mental

If Forest go on to win then the relegation battle is really just a fight out between W.Ham & Spurs. Mathematically the other teams need to get to 45 points but I think 43 will be more than enough.

Daft decision by Wolves to sack Pereira. He did such a good job last season,  and seems such a great guy. Their problems this season are entirely down to the squad of players he was given.

Great to see Forest winning because of the relegation fight, but it’s a lovely bonus that Chelsea are getting their arses kicked too. ☺️

You'd have thought that Chelsea were the team with a crucial European semi final on Thursday.

And that's precisely why Aston Villa made so many changes yesterday.

1-3 in front of an empty Stamford Bridge and there are 7 mins left

Oh, that’s a shame. I’d have liked to see them go another game without scoring.

The last time Chelsea lost five games in a row and failed to score in each of those was 114 years ago.

If only they'd outlaid a bit more than the £1.4 billion (£763 million net) they've spent in the last four seasons
Make that six defeats in a row and their first goal scored in over nine and a half hours of football. They can't now get into the Champions League and might not even make the top half of the table let alone any of the other European competitions.

It will be REALLY interesting what happens at Chelsea in the summer, as the ludicrous long contracts just spread the cost out, they don't remove it.

AND they will restrict future spending too. No European football will be a big financial blow,  imagine sponsors income will significantly reduce as a direct result.

Just can't see why they'd attract a quality manager either. Iraola is going to have a lot more options than Chelsea

I still believe Chelsea can be 3rd 🤔

Behind Brentford and Fulham in the pecking order of south west London teams.

Chelsea have huge issues.  Massive long contracts make some players lazy. The best will want to leave, the average will hang around.  FFP will ruin them (hopefully).

The IFS front of shirt is only until the end of the year until they switch to a mid tier partnership. It was just to fill a gap.

They still don’t have a front of shirt partner and the £60m they have been punting round the market won’t fly with no champions league football

They could still make the Europa league by winning the FA cup though. Admittedly unlikely given their current form though.
