As well as a safe standing section, a singing section I think there should be a drinking section......where all those who can't go 2 hours without alcohol can sit together.

It's a bit picky but I've never liked the idea of pre poured pints just sitting there for a while.2

Play off home semi vs Wycombe. Sell out crowd. Some booths in Lower West were closed before game and at half time.
For those who travel from afar for the game with tight timings, it can be more than handy tk be able to grab some food and drink pre-match, but the queues and time are poor.

Could be wrong but think part of the problem is that because Gather & Gather run the bars they presumably take a decent cut of any profits which removes some of the clubs incentives to sort0

To get any sort of system and speed going to maximize the halftime break you need motivated staff who are switched on
The servers at The Valley struggle to tell their left from their right6 -
I don't often drink at HT now but on one occasion last season I was on the beers with a mate so we popped down for one (West Upper). When I got to the front of the queue I waited seven minutes from ordering to receiving the two pints and a sausage roll that I asked for, and when they did finally arrive I had to remind the server to charge me for them.
However you feel about boozing during the game it's pure incompetence and surely something that needs sorting out for the club to maximise takings.2 -

Take snacks , water & soft drinks in a bag or backpack . I do and they’ve never been questioned or removed when the security look in the bag at the turnstiles.Croydon said:

Sod the queues and decant a beer, or any other tipple for that matter, into a vacuum flask like the old timer in the West Stand and have a relaxed drink in your seat.6

Went to spurs with a mate last season and the service was brilliant. I was thinking "we'll be here for days" when i saw the amount of people, but got a beer within 2 or 3 mins pre match and half time! They're really geared up for it, but it helps with the space that they've created clearly.MrLargo said:Arsenal and Spurs have the highest matchday revenue in world football. I don't think it's ridiculous to suggest we could have doubled our matchday revenue last season if we'd given it the necessary thought and investment. I don't know how much the "fill from the bottom up" beer machines are that Spurs have, but I suspect they would have paid for themselves within 2 matchdays. Not at all complicated, doesn't require project managers or consultants. Surely at least one Charlton board member of the last 15 years or so has visited the Emirates or WHL at some point - why have they not returned home after that saying "that caterings good, we'll do that at Charlton in bring in a load of easy money." It's weird, I don't understand why it's such a challenge. (obviously not just us, plenty of clubs still offering rubbish product and rubbish service).2 -
Even if you don't want to buy anything, the ridiculous queues for the Curbs stand concourses completely clogs up the Curbs stand concourse areas.3

We are in the Fans Bar pretty much every game. Best the queues, get a cheaper drink than the main bar, and support a CAFC supporter business! Win win !0
