Remember the days when you could order your half-time pint before the match started behind The Covered End, and it would be ready waiting for ya when the whistle went...🍻
I was just about to type the same. The bar staff were fantastic back then 🍻

This has been done for years at a lot of music venues , seems to work quite well

This was briefly tried in the covered end during the Roland years, not sure why it didn't carry on
  • Curbs stand I reckon there's enough space for them to implement a roped queuing system like they have at the cricket.

North and west I dunno, maybe they could fudge the system so that tickets can be used once at the start of the game and a second time at half time so that fans could use the fan area at half time?

Completely unmanageable to try to get people back through the turnstiles and to stop people sneaking in the gate that would need to open to let fans out into the fan zone

If you want a pint, go down the pub

If you want to watch football, go to a game.
What about food, water, soft drinks? It's not just pints people want at HT, and it's all money into the club
Take snacks , water & soft drinks in a bag or backpack .  I do and they’ve never been questioned or removed when the security look in the bag at the turnstiles.
So we should close all outlets on the concourses then?

The real problem are the staff, most of them have no idea how to work quickly and appear to have no motivation to do so.Â
