So I cant give full details but NJ and Kaminski had a falling out last season which im sure everyone remembers and he was dropped for Mannion then WM had a bit of a mare and Jones was forced to recall TK. Its a case of forgiven but not forgotten, NJ does not want TK at the club and TK is happy to leave as long as he doesnt lose money.

    Edit -

I wouldnt be suprised if we see something similar with Doc
I take it Doc hasn’t thrown his toys out the pram like TK ? . He doesn’t seem the type.
My understanding is that TK hasnt thrown his toys out of the pram and is prepared to play if called upon
That phrase .  You’ve either heard it or you’ve made it up, but it doesn’t need a lot of understanding .
    Which phrase ?
    “My understanding is.. “

A serious question to all of Kaminski's fans.

Who wishes he was still our 1st choice?

    Could just as easily say:

A serious question to all of Mannion's fans.

Who wishes he was still our 1st choice?

I for one am glad it's Okonkwo and not either of them.

People can still be a fan of Kaminski while agreeing Okonkwo makes us a better team.

If it was him or Mannion I'd pick Kaminski still, no question. Luckily, that's not the choice we have to make.

He's only played one game, hopefully he'll be what we are after.  Only time will tell.

Yeah it's exactly this for me. I don't know that I'm a Kaminski fan as much as I think some of the stick he got was over the top. I think he's a better option than Mannion. But I think/hope Okonkwo will be a better option than either of them. And even though he's only a loan and out of contract in the summer, at 24 Okonkwo has a lot of years to improve before he hits his peak as a keeper, whereas I think Mannion and TK are what they are.

Terrible keeper, up there with MacGillivray. Be pleased to never have to see him in a Charlton shirt again.

I’m more than happy to see him walk this season but Macgillvray was another level of horror. Kaminski has been bang average personally think his reputation and wages have made him seem worse than he actually is.

Isted and Macgillvray were lucky to even make it professionally

How far have we come. I honestly cannot believe it... we must stay behind our club and our team. There is something special going on...

If I'm not mistaken MacGillvray was POTY for Portsmouth the previous season to us signing him.  On paper it looked a reasonable signing.

MacGilvray was a decent shot stopper.

But flapped at crosses, indecisive and never seemed to command his area.

However, POTY at Pompey ....what was the difference?

Perhaps the Pompey defence were disciplined to cover his deficiencies?

Mind you, Pompey still allowed him to leave despite being their POTY.

Clean shorts Holland won it for being a good guy.  I don’t think he passed it forwards once all season and he was way past his best .

You sound like you really didn't understand Holland's role in the team - or why all his managers picked him for every game? :)

Holland couldn't tackle, couldn't pick a pass, didn't have a captain's mentality. He was fine alongside someone like Parker, but he definitely contributed to our relegation. Holland and Hughes as a central midfield were toothless/simply not good enough (although Hughes did chip in with the odd goal).

Fault of the board though for not replacing Parker.

I understood it when Curbs picked him narrow on the right .

Had to look back, he won player of the year in 07/08 but in his last season in 08/09 that was a fair assessment. He was part of the reason our midfield was so poor and we got relegated. He was so far past his best he retired that summer. He went from being a solid PL player to a weak link in the Championship, that wouldn’t have been the case if he was still up to it.

Yeah plus he's in our esteemed hall of fame, unlike Humphrey. What a joke

He was the flasker's dream: a nice chap with clean shorts who claps the fans every week. Marvellous.

Not to say he was rubbish. He ran a lot, but he didn't offer much of anything. I really don't think Matty would be enjoying a Prem career in this day and age.

A serious question to all of Kaminski's fans.

Who wishes he was still our 1st choice?
Strange and inflammatory question which I will take the bait on. :-)

I think you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone who describes themselves as a “Kaminski fan”.

Put this way, I personally had hoped we upgraded from a League One 8/10 or Championship 6/10 in Mannion, to a Championship 8 or 9/10 in Kaminski.

He turned out to a 6.5/10 and not worth what he was getting paid, but in a vacuum I’d still rather play the 6.5 than the 6.
