Ahhh shit. Been a fan since Sabbath’s first album.

And a great solo career … given me so much enjoyment.

    RIP

I knew he was getting nearer the end, but hadn't expected it to be so soon. He held on for the farewell concert 😢

That last show he did a couple of weeks ago was for various charities including for Parkinson's which he suffered with.

RIP, not a massive Sabbath fan but he was a proper old school, larger than life rock icon. The world needs characters like him.

Glad he made his last gig and to be fair, 76 is a decent innings considering what he did to his body over the years.

Gutted. One of my childhood heroes. Saw Sabbath in their prime. First album I bought with my own money was their greatest hits as a 10 year old.

    Cheers John Osborne. Nice one.

What a life. And a decent way to go out after playing a home gig at the club you loved.
    RIP

Gutting. It's almost like he was holding on to do one last show.

If you're going to go though, what a way to bow out and do it one last time for your fans.

For me personally, one of the best musicians this great nation has ever produced among an array of talent.

Rest in peace to one of the founding fathers of heavy metal.

Whether you like his music, his lifestyle and antics, you have to acknowledge the huge impact he has had on music.  Happy he got to have the perfect farewell.

That is very sad news. Only saw him once, with Sabbath, and what a band they were. My first ever vinyl purchase was Paranoid (the single) while at Primary school. RIP.

Utter maniac of a bloke who was lucky not to have gone 40 years ago. Well established in the best ever front man conversation, Sabbath weren't the same band when he wasn't there. For the record he was never a Villa fan.

Timed the final show very well.
