Pompey 3-0 up now. How long do WBA give their manager?
    Until 8:30pm tonight.
They have a Celtic/Nancy type decision to make. It’ll be costly but I think they know relegation is a very real possibility.
A couple more bad results, and they'll be very tempted to give Gary Rowett a call...

Apparently he’s going to Leicester, you take him out the fold and there’s a severe lack of  available managers who know how to get out of relegation issues. West Brom can be in a lot of trouble which is surprising because on paper there team looks pretty decent

Considering the poor run we've been on, still very impressive where we stand in clean sheet table this season.

Few games tonight, Blackburn get their free hit at home to Sheffield Wednesday so should move to 32 points.

Sheff U v Oxford too impacting the bottom.

Pompey have a tough one at home to Ipswich, but I always feel Pompey have a chance at home
  • Oxford and Pompey will both get pumped.
    Blackburn should win.

Did Wednesday get many in yesterday in the end? Saw they signed Marvelous Nakamba but didn't catch anything else?

They also got Joel Ndala on loan from City and Tayo Adaramole from Palace the day before. Can't say they've strengthened though after losing Cadamarteri, Bannan and Amass

If Wednesday get a result against Blackburn, i'll start feeling very optimistic that it wont be us going down.

I've got a sneaky suspicion that Wednesday will get something tonight

Cheers! Yesterday was a bit of a nightmare to keep up with , but I do fancy them to get something tonight.

Blackburn in their current state are lucky that their game tonight is against Wednesday, and a Wednesday side which has lost 2 key attacking players, having not scored in their last 7 games anyway.

But to be fair to Wednesday, they're not rolling over, Their last 4 defeats have either been 1-0 or 2-0 rather than hammerings, with all the goals in the second half.

I reckon Pompey will give Ipswich a good game tonight, it wouldn't surprise me if they get something out of it.

Probably not a bad thing given Pompey have found a bit of form
  • They've also got a few injuries

For anyone one else wanting to find out why Portsmouth is postponed tonight and heading to BBC but not seeing it there, until you drill in to their fixture list and click the actual fixture- it's a waterlogged pitch.

Tuesday night's Championship fixture between Portsmouth and Ipswich Town has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at Fratton Park.

Persistent overnight rain, which has continued into the morning, has left the field unplayable.

More rain is forecast on Tuesday which could continue until close to the scheduled 19:45 GMT kick off.

It is the second time this fixture has been postponed after the original date at the start of January had to be rearranged because of a frozen playing surface.

A new date for the game will be announced in due course.

Tuesday night's Championship fixture between Portsmouth and Ipswich Town has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at Fratton Park.

I assumed every Championship club now had a super-tech pitch—AI, nanobots, quantum grass, predictive rainfall modelling, automated sun deployment and a small team of invisible maintenance nanomite drones working 24/7
  • Would be great if Blackburn can contrive to not beat Sheff Wed, it's far from a formality.

Why do I fear this is tempting fate and wont age well?

EDIT - Good news on Pompey as that should hopefully allow their game in hand to go after our 3 home games

Portsmouth should be deducted 10 points for this abandonment. Only fair

Why isn't Blackburn Vs Wednesday on Match choice?

  • We really burst the bubble of Sheff Utd's form
  • Sheff Utd are so slow on the ball

Are Sheffield Utd actually safe? If these new signings for them don’t work out they could slide
  • Sheff Utd 1-1 Oxford
