Somehow Sheffield United are just 3 points ahead of us, having played one more game.

Yes they had that terrible start under Selles, but you'd have expected them to be nearer the top than they are.

Easy to forget just how bad a start it was. They lost 8 of their first 9 games.
Even if they’d had a poor to middling start which they wouldn’t have been happy with (eg 3 wins, 3 draws, 3 defeats) they’d now be in the playoffs.
It’s a team that really should be challenging for promotion, but Selles’ start really fucked them.

    Oh well.

He said it was a correct decision and they deserved to lose. He actually spoke well which was a bit odd

That dope Michael Brown in the Sky studio thought it was a harsh decision. Idiot

If only there was some kind of ranking system based on winning points in head to head matches played, whereby eventually every team has played every other team (home and away so it's fair) and then at the end of this the three worst teams are excluded from this "league" and have to drop into the next one down.
Daft idea. It just punishes the fans of teams who have recruited badly. Worse, it gradually induces suffering for those fans who get sucked into this vortex of fear. It would be much better to award both teams three points regardless of the result, and abolish goal difference too. Thus reducing anxiety, aggression and social media bullying when things go bad. Everyone wins except the rich clubs like Man City who can no longer buy titles.

Tonight’s games to go our way would be
    Southampton win
    Norwich win
    Brum win

But then in the last 10 games they're only 8th in the form table, while in the last 6 they're 14th. They've managed to lose games they should have won (e.g. at the Valley) due to self inflicted errors.

Getting battered home and away by Charlton doesn't help

I can see the merits of this but where would it leave Wrexhams fairytale rise up the leagues?

Potentially big night tonight in the relegation battle, let’s hope for lots of red cards and Southampton, Norwich and Birmingham victories

Norwich take the lead inside 60 seconds.

Rather confusingly the score on Sky's stream started as Oxford 1 Norwich 0!

Shocking goal to let in when you’re in a relegation scrap, inside a minute.

Keepers rarely have a shocker like that against us, they tend to play like the bastard offspring of Yashin, Zoff and Banks.

Leicester, with no manager and half empty stadium, put on a light show before KO

  • Oxford 1 down to Norwich already. If we can beat Stoke, this could be a big week. I said. ‘If’.

Not sure which of those the West Brom goalie was channeling when Sonny’s shot trundled towards him in the last minute.
