But have this 90-99% of people actually seen it yet?Braziliance said:

It's a fkn abomination, it genuinely looks horrendous. I just hope it didn't cost them too much and it isn't as off centre in person.
On here it feels like no one seems bothered how bad it is, on twitter and instagram it feels like 90-99% who are commenting are calling out how bad it looks.Off_it said:

Is "social media" more pro or more anti, because there are both sets of views on here.
I know people will say there is more to worry about etc, but that would have undoubtedly cost the club money, I don't know how much, but it wouldn’t have been dirt cheap, and it genuinely looks awful. Who gives that the go ahead.
Seems an odd thing to have a meltdown about.4 -
Disappointing considering how much they hyped it up.
Do I really care? Not really.

Can't believe people think it's smaller than the old one.4

Twitter or X, or whatever the ketamine addict is calling it today, isn’t representative of anything, and so 99% of those looking for attention will say something edgy to either get attention or not stand out.
You're slandering a fair amount of people with that comment who follow our club fairly religiously. The people I am seeing post do represent us as I see them all at plenty of games
Was just pointing out how the vibe on here is very different to other platforms, it's interesting.0 -
But it the same people? And the same bubble you see all the time. Slanderous, do me a favourBraziliance said:

Here's an image of the new screen, with the size, shape and position of the old screen superimposed. I hope this is of use to anyone still deciding whether the new screen is bigger than the old screen, smaller than the old screen or the same size.

A lot of premature evaluation happening on this thread.9

It's not narrower FFS look at the superimposed picture from Chizz. It's the same height as the current screen, placed higher up, and double the width.MrOneLung said:If it is narrower, surely it will be harder to read the team names ?
you could have a one foot wide screen that went all the way around the ground and it would be ‘bigger’ than the old screen, but you wouldn’t be able to read anything !
I don't get what's so difficult for people to understand8 -

If X is such a cesspit, why do you even have to mention it? Why even look at it? Just let the idiots squabble in their invisible corner. If you pay any attention to them, then you’re giving them undeserved credit.KBslittlesis said:

Maybe folk should wait till they see it in person before having such strong opinions..12

By the time fish has swum from one side to the other we'll all be gasping for air.9

It's much wider than the old one. My guess is that the first images we will see is a half and half flag, the St George's Flag and the Palestinian flag, because I think there might still be a few people who haven't gone batshit enough yet.
That should do the trick.11 -
It couldn’t be much bigger, it couldn’t extend down much further because of the clearance for the steps and it couldn’t go up much higher because of the Jimmy Seed roof obscuring part of it for certain areas of the ground.LargeAddick said:

Point one of the next CAFC marketing meeting:1. Timing of Announcements at The Valley
Going forward, avoid making announcements about investments or improvements at The Valley during international breaks. During these periods, when there are no first-team matches, supporters tend to over analyse off-field developments—such as loan player performances and the aspect ratios of new TVs.

I think it looks fine. But I don’t understand why they didn’t tidy the area around it up a little bit before they did the publicity. Is that a partially open cupboard of rubble underneath the screen? At least close rubble cupboard before doing your intro videos!5

I only look at the screen to see goal replays. I have already seen the teams on a thing called a smart phone.0
