Really really well taken goal. Thought he'd done too much at first but a very clever finish.

What a lovely problem to have next summer if him and Mbick continue in this vein of form.

Can see the confidence in him, I don’t think he’d have won the ball and taken the goal so well when he first appeared in our first team.

I know it’s against L2 opposition, but I don’t think I’ve seen any attacker besides Carey have that much desire to score a goal this season

He's noticeably quicker and slimmer/more athletic than he was when he broke into the first team.

Daniel Kanu was freakishly prolific in scoring goals when coming through against his peers. Way more than comparable players, Patrick Casey is like that now.
The biggest adjustment is breaking into the first team, when instead of playing games against those who might have been schoolmates you find yourself in the world of Danny Hyltons., Kevin Muscats and seriously good and big guys.
That adjustment takes some doing, and it can clearly lead to more diminished returns.
The good news is that eventually the peers Daniel scored freely against will at some stage become his general peers again.
The other good news is that good senior players now, had to start out somewhere then.
It a rare thing when a good young ‘un can be simply dropped into senior level and they carry on as always. We saw a little of that when Nathan Jones gambled with Fullah at Wrexham after a wonderful half hour against West Brom.
Daniel Kanu, Micha Mbick and maybe Patrick Casey and Ruben Reid are likely to become credible senior players if managed well.

Z Mitchell didn’t even make the Hibs squad yesterday, given our injury issues he’d have had a better chance of playing here

He’s 100% getting recalled in January, interesting to see whether we keep him as 6th choice CB or whether we get him a L1 loan

Zach will be the only one I think will be recalled. Let Mbick and DK hit double figures in League 2 for the season and keep on progressing as they are.

People like Trevor Francis, Rooney, Bellingham, who go on to become internationals.

Would have thought Asiimwe would be the most obvious candidate for a recall in January.

Sadly don't think he is good enough for the Champ. We can see from how so many of our League One youngsters have struggled how much of a step up it is

Guessing that will be a last resort at the end of the window depending on whether we manage to get Fukuda and/or Bree come through the door or whether we get a proper LWB so Apter can play at RWB

Perhaps but we are short of defenders

If we still have major injury problems, it would make sense to recall Asiimwe as soon as we can (the 2nd January). We can always send him back to Wimbledon later in the month.

Only midweek fixture this week is Chippenham Town v Farnborough. Interestingly, Bower and Hobden started as LWB & RWB at the weekend. Bad news is they lost 5-1 to fellow relegation battlers Enflield Town. Chippenham are bottom of the NLS so a chance for Farnborough to get a win

Bower and Hobden both started in a 2-2 draw. Good to see Hobden slowly starting to get some game time

If Kelman is out long term I’d be tempted to recall Kanu. We know he has goals in him but it is his pressing that would tempt me to bring him back. We seem lost without genuine ‘disrupters’ up front.

Before anybody comes in with a pious ‘if Kanu’s the answer you’re asking the wrong question’, don’t get me wrong, it’s not a long term answer but I think he could do a job right now.

I think the solution would be to loan someone from the PL personally, I do get your point though

Unless a player is coming back to play the majority of games we shouldn’t be thinking of recalling anyone especially those who are doing well like Asiimwe/Kanu/Mbick

As @Addick Addict has pointed out on the Z Mitchell thread, with Grant Hanley suspended this is a chance for Zach to at least make the bench. If he doesn't we can probably assume he's on his way to SE7 in January (if he isn't back already)
