    Crawley played Dixon at RWB today. He was left 3 v 2 at the back multiple times and was forced to play so deep. Horrendous from the manager.

    Crawley played Dixon at RWB today. He was left 3 v 2 at the back multiple times and was forced to play so deep. Horrendous from the manager. 
    That's absolutely bizarre management given he's played as a 10/winger in the rest of his appearances. He's not got anywhere near the physical or defensive side to play as a wingback.

    Could say the same about Apter to be fair. It can work if balance of the team means it's a very attacking WB role.

    But then I think Dixon's a striker who can drift wide, not a winger you can play as an attacking WB.

    Yeah I see him exactly as that , a striker that's naturally going to drift wide. Would be interesting to see him with a big target man because I think that would cause a lot of problems. Crawley do now have Ryan Loft who is that classic L2 big target man.
