Don't know what's come over me, I'm usually glass half empty.
    Reckon we'll beat Leicester 3_1

    We've got our Charlton back

Hope I’m wrong but I fear Leicester will have a few moments of quality just enough to burst our bubble.
And that’s going to happen few times this season what we don’t want is the over reaction of the doom and gloom mob when it does ….
Because we should do better and will have to do better in those moments. It shows the whole club is behind the curve and I'm not sure why I bother spending money watching us if/ when these moments repeatedly occur.

If you can't accept that other sides this season will have moments of quality we can't deal with, then maybe you shouldn't bother watching. Honestly your consistent exaggerated comments get very tiring.

We should infiltrate Holmesdale Road with The Doom and Gloom Mob. Get them to have a real reason to dress in bloody black.

Just going through that Leicester squad , they've got players they paid £20m+ for on the bench and the likes of Fatuwu starting that if he wasn't coming back from injury wouldn't be there. They've got real quality in their ranks even if they seem dysfunctional from the outside.

Definitely need a chant for Kelman, maybe even Apter too!

68/69, the biggest ‘official’ capacity league ground in the Football League, the team flying, crowds pushing 30k and a jam packed terraced Covered End with numbers in it that probably wasn’t far off what the two tiers have these days belting out
    ‘Oh Charlie, Charlie
    Charlie, Charlie, Charlie
    Charlie Wright’

    seemed to work quite well.

’Kelman’ could be made to fit for ‘Wright’

Errrrrr - I  thought that this song had taken retirement out of respect to me.

Hope that Sky get the  coverage better than they have so far today!.
Sound drop out (twice) and for the featured game not much of a mention so far.
Just a  general preview programme with the Valley in the background in essence.

Just showing training at Sparrows, so perhaps it will focus on us!

Let’s be fair, they can’t do 90 mins of chat about it
  • Pretty decent coverage so far

Potential we are coming down to earth with a bump on Saturday coming up against a recent Premier League team. However, all the signs are they haven't started well and often catching these teams at this time of the season can be advantageous. We're full of confidence and riding our momentum from last year whereas they are desperately trying to refind some confidence and build momentum. If they underestimate us I think we could send them away with a bloody nose. If their first two games have given them a kick up the arse and they come into this motivated to and determined to fix that, then maybe we will get a lesson in how tough this division can be. It's a fascinating game but represents a decent opportunity for us.

2-1 Addicks. Fast start from us and Kelman scores first half, then they pen us in a bit. We bring on our finishers and Leaburn or Knibbs bags one on the break assisted by Tanto. Then they score and its backs against the wall until the final whistle. Kaminski to make at least one worldy save to earn us the three points.
if that is even 80% right, I’ll buy you a pint

I didn’t even get the starting XI right so looks like your money is safe!

I turned sky on about 5 minutes ago, knowing our k.o. was 12:30 but not that our game was the featured one. The programme started at 11, have they just started talking about us, as they are going in to rather a lot more detail than I'd expect?!

Been a bit of a mixture so far, as they're covering our game and the others that are starting @ 12:30 on Sky Sports Plus

Did I miss much on our game before 12:00? The level of detail since 12:00 is a bit of a surprise - bit worried they are building us up a bit too much; great start but it's only been 2 games........

There was a piece at Sparrows Lane, with Jones providing commentary through a drill? - Did you see that? - If so then there wasnt much coverage beforehand

Good 1st 45. Wingers not quite firing but Casey, Doc, and Cov all good.  Hope we keep Miles on, as need his height in defence.
