Sheffield always a good city to have a drink.
Always enjoyed my trips to Sheffield but not the match.

no way are we taking 2.5k to Sheff Utd
If we beat QPR and then Millwall we may get closer than you think
1,500 tops even if we beat both
We took over 2k to Bristol City and it's a similar distance, just North as opposed to West.

Opening day enthusiasm coupled with Bristol being a more attractive city than Sheffield to visit.  I'm with @Elthamaddick he'll not be far out on his guess.

    Similar distance 🤔
Fair enough, just checked, Sheffield is approx. 50 miles further from Central London compared to Bristol, my bad.

    500 then? :)

Southampton took 2000 to Norwich on Tuesday night in the league cup…

“just sayin’”, as they all say these days

Two booked, third to buy on Monday. Have foolishly been buying aways x 2 under my own ID but should have tagged my lads as you only get 1 x loyalty points so he is lagging way behind at the moment. Will raise his points over the season from now on.

Email the ticket office before the game and they can add the points

The rush is about to start from all those deserving fans that were unable to get QPR tickets and unable to accrue enough points which is so unfair.

Got the three I wanted, am a row back from my lad and his girlfriend but pleased to be visiting another new ground for us together. UTA!
  • Yep,  new ground for us also,  looking forward to the day,  and hopefully the game.

Went there in 1972 the second replay. Result still grates to this day. By the way we played in green and black stripes.

I was surprised when I went to buy 5 tickets on-line today that, although they are now on general sale, I was still restricted to two tickets. Is that usually the case once general sale is reached?

I know that in theory I can click "assign owner" but that doesn't work for me even though I have "friends and family" listed. I can't see that I am doing anything wrong?

The guy at the ticket office didn't know whether this was correct but he assigned 3 tickets for me to solve the problem.

How are people supposed to earn loyalty points when there are only 1300 left in general sale!!?

After we beat Millwall the week earlier this one will rapidly transition to an ‘any spares’ thread. I quite fancy this one but other commitments are making that a non starter for me. Not one to give up hope though I’m holding out for a change of plans in the meantime so if you could all do likewise and not buy just yet I’d appreciate it.

Think train prices put a lot of people off - £80ish for a return ticket on top of the match ticket and any food/drink on the day is a lot of money to spend for a game you could watch indoors. Upmost respect for anyone who makes the journey.

If you have not heard of this before, there is an option called ticket splitter.  This can make prices cheaper.

Trains on the East Midlands line are rarely cheap, as there isn't the glut of seats you get between London and Birmingham or Manchester.

    - It is Sheffield tbf, no one wants to go there - Oh, I was under the impression people were desperate for points so that they could get to watch Charlton away, wherever that may be and not just places you can get to within an hour.

    - People are on holiday - Got ya, must have all gone away the day after QPR, how's ya luck!?

    - We have played them a lot recently - Not played them in over 8 years.

Well I'm going on holiday on the day of the game, does that count?

Go via Doncaster, then there is a South Yorkshire rover ticket.

IMO we should be taking 2,000 to this but it looks like it’ll be 1400
