I don’t blame Ramsay at all. Silly challenge but 99% of the time he gets them right and tackling is why we love him. More than in credit. Some people are talking as if he’s Ryan Inniss.
It was his fault. I agree he has credit overall but that silly challenge let them back in the game.

Should have won, won't criticise Ramsay as without his contribution over the past 12 months we wouldn't be in this league

Feel we need to do better in the final third

Unless it’s changed, you only pay for those inside the ground.

Watched the goal back a few times now. Ball is fired very quickly from about 10 yards away. Kaminski’s reactions are good, he actually expects the ball to be going further to his left so has to adjust his hands. I think that’s why he parries it into danger. For some reason Coventry has decided to leave his man to charge towards the player who took the initial shot. Carey doesn’t notice and doesn’t cover Coventry’s man who then slots home. As ever with goals, it wasn’t one just one error

Oh well. We would have won with eleven men in my opinion, but it is at least another point.
Campbell lands back from Jamaica on Thursday and plays that well.
    Respect.
  • The Blackpool boys play well together, but Apter let his mate down today.

I think its a matter of acclimatising to the Championship, this partnership can pay dividends and is worth pursuing.  Get them both firing on all four and the goals and assists will come.

Despite the pain, the bare fact is we produced a good performance against an established Championship club. Same as the Bristol
    City game.

We miss Small….Apter had an ok game but feel his size and lack of athleticism will see him struggle in this league…also miss Gillespheys diagonals from the back…..

Poor game management really in the second half. Obviously dumb red card but could have been subbed off beforehand.

Thought most of the formation/tactic changes post red card were poor also.
Too true, a lot of them did not seem to know what position they were in after this. So much space on the wings where Millwall were going down largely unchallenged.

I'm not sure about missing Gillesphey's diagonals but we sure miss him when we get a free kick in a shooting position around the opposition penalty box!

    Goals win games.
we buy Kelman and don’t play to his strengths. He wants to play on a shoulder and needs someone like Leaburn to play alongside him.

As for Kaminski, I’m not impressed.

Concerning the team has played well in three games and only got

Kelman had the ball to his feet a number of times and was in space 3 or 4 times but took a poor first touch and was unable to kick the ball at all.

Apter is a far more talented footballer imo

I thought Leaburn looked knackered after twenty minutes, he kept bending over and take in deep breaths at every delay in play, even thought he might be getting cramp.

Ramsay, Nathan Jones and Leaburn threw that away for us.

Easily the best Charlton performance against Millwall in a very, very long time. Well on top for most of the game, especially the first half, should have made it count more at 1-0 up.

Cannot argue either of Ramsay’s yellows, especially the second, no idea what he was thinking. Just let the play go.

Nathan Jones panicked. Should have left Campbell or Apter on, absolutely no outlet, it was inevitable they’d score at that point. They couldn’t handle Campbell at all, he was brilliant, suicidal to substitute him.

Leaburn either isn’t interested, is lazy, or injured. Absolutely zero effort to close the initial attack down which led to their goal. I would bet he’s off in January and that a deal is already done.
  • WHY DID JONES NOT SUB RAMSAY?
I mean a player gets a Yellow Card, they shouldnt need to be instantly subbed - They should have the common sense to be a bit more careful for the rest of the game.

Jones got booked as well, and managed to avoid a second booking.
Usually I’d agree but you could see Ramsay was being drawn into it - it’s easy to say in hindsight but i thought given the game and our position it was common sense to take him off!

Genuinely feel sick as as soon as Ramsey jumped in it was a nailed on 2nd card.
We were cruising and only negative subs could cost us the win. We basically said we will just defend against an average Millwall side

Ramsey has had enough praise on here so his brain freeze cost us a 'comfortable' win. When Kayne makes a mistake no one normally notices because he has the class to rescue his self but no hiding place today.

Gutted for the players and personally thought we invited Millwall on with the subs and there was confusion who was picking up which players.

It feels like a defeat but we have been decent in every match bar QPR.
  • Disappointing display - stupid behaviour from Ramsay. Our setpieces were poor throughout - we waste free kicks and corners.

I thought the ref was hopeless - very inconsistent with his decisions.

Fucking hell some of these comments about Leaburn are starting to piss me off as much as the policing fiasco. WTAF?
Can’t criticise TC today and he was the only other academy product on the pitch so he’s the natural scapegoat for some

Thought the same re set pieces - been poor so far all season
ref - thought hes was really fair.
  • I think it's obvious to everybody that Leaburn should of been on the line to clear the ball when the second shot came in for their goal.

I thought he had a good game, made an impact when he came on. I know it's a game of opinions but it is mad how different everyone sees things

I have no idea why we keep playing high long balls and crosses high in the air against a team of 6 footers with Kelman and Campbell up front. I thought Kelman played much better but needs better service. Would love to see Leaburn and Kelman start together.

No one will be coming in for Leaburn in January on his performance since returning from injury.

Ref wasn't astonishingly bad, but should have booked Leonard first half and Crama should have already been in the book before his desperate lunge on TC, which he either wouldn't have made, or would have been given his marching orders for.

Just glad he saw the handball(s) and we aren't here lamenting a 2-1 loss

Think it was the gameplan actually and it was working, lump it up, let them win the header and mop up the second ball, which we did about 70% of the time

Leaburn doesnt possess pace or a quick turn but he set up TC for a chance single handely towards the end. Like his dad a good footballing brain at this level. He, like Kelman will never be prolific scoreres the way our team is set up.
