Hull is a decent city. Not amazing but not bad. Go for a few drinks on Humber Street or go out for the night in Old Town and then come back to me.

Have been there a few times, the last being the 6-0 and had a terrific drink up there, the locals were alright.
The first time I went to the 'new' ground was as a hop and they played York.  We didn't realise that the two did not get on, and things were a bit frisky in the city before the game!

I think there are limited £24 tickets left, in the smaller block NE. Once they've sold it looks like £29 a seat, so buying now could save you a fiver.

Looking forward to this one. Feels like a place in the UK you have to visit once in your lifetime
Visited just the once and met a local girl.
Was the first and only time I've been handcuffed to a bed. 🔒😳

Could've added more emojis, but that would've been TMI.
She did leave with all her fingernails intact though. 💅

In previous years, it has been all ticket. Well worth giving the Hull ticket office a call to find out and not taking the chance.

Be great if we could coax another couple of hundred into travelling following last night. After this I think we only have Wrexham away with a small allocation for nearly 4 1/2 weeks

Away Matchday Ticket Sales - Unsold tickets will be available to purchase from the East Stand Ticket Office. Please check before travelling as no tickets will be available if the away allocation has already sold out.

the price of train tickets to Hull is absolutely obscene.

travelling around this country on public transport is obscenely and prohibitively expensive. about 4 x the cost of petrol.

Look at a Hull Trains train - they tend to be cheaper.
  • How many have we sold for this ?

If you had booked this journey a couple of months ago it would have cost £25 Advance single or £16.65 with a Railcard in both directions on Hull trains.

Just a word of warning I expect there to be no sales on the day, I think they’ll be a collection area by their East Stand for those who buy from Charlton today or tomorrow

Hull has been named one of the top 25 global destinations to visit in 2026 by National Geographic in its Best of the World list

Wow! I haven’t been back to Hull since I graduated there in 1976. It was actually good city back in those days with nearby Beverley a good place to visit for the pubs and racing. Nice to see it is doing well.
  • First trip to Hull, heading up Friday night, coming back Sunday. Feels like somewhere I should visit and be able to picture in my mind. Some good tips on here and Saturday after the game will probably head to Beverley. Whitby and Hornsea look good too so if I ever return, will check them out.

I live about 500 meters from The Valley but go to more away than home games, as enjoy the road trips more. Got to cram other things into my life, so aside from a few home games each year, tend to do other things those weekends. Always feels a bit weird when I travel up to somewhere like Hull to watch Charlton one weekend and the next Saturday I'm down at Charlton station grabbing a train elsewhere as fans converge for a home game.

Going to this one and driving up tomorrow. I wouldn't change the defence, although I thought Bree struggled defensively on Tuesday and looked a bit fatigued. I suspect he may be replaced second half by either  JRC or Burke. Apter if behind in the game.

I think we get something if our energy levels are ok, which I doubt given the Preston performance. Either way we  have already taken  7 points from the 5 games, with 4 of them away, so I am really happy about that. I am looking forward to playing 3 of the next 4 at home.

The White Horse (otherwise known as Nellies) is worth a visit.

thanks and yes noted - 160 quid for the direct trains return at this stage. Aware of course of advance singles but not always possible and that price seems very extreme and discouraging if you’re asking people to travel sustainably!
