The running totals for Like's & LOL's that we had on the original format have disappeared for whatever reason I don't know, but will they be making a comeback please if possible...

Think it looks alright. Only thing that has been a problem recently (even before the revamp) is that when you open a thread with several pages of comments that you haven't read, you read say 1 of those pages and then come out of the thread it shows that you have read all the pages rather than just to the page you have actually viewed.

Also on mobile it's hard to get back to individual pages (especially if there's a lot of them) so you have to go back one after the other. Which for example on this thread I had to go back one after the other to page 6 to see @oohaahmortimer has already mentioned about what I'm talking about above with opening a thread at the page you left it.

1. Working on a fix for that.
2. As explained a bit further back, that's temporary. When the full updates to the comments pages are implemented (not too long a wait) the pagination navigation will be different and will allow for moving more quickly and more precisely through pages.

It's not a life changing feature, but it's useful for sorting by things that have got reactions. If you sort by "Everything" you're gonna get a post with a single LOL because there's a time element to it (it's newer and other posts with more LOLs have ranked lower through atrophy). If you filter by Promotes, for instance, that's probably a lot more useful because Promotes are rarer. Otherwise, ignore the whole thing.

Maybe a small point, but would appreciate a darker grey for threads that have unread posts to differentiate to those that are actually greyed out.

Some might say it's an OCD thing, I just like totals in full, it's the missing parts that is the issue, I like the complete thing rather than 15.7k ie, which is just not an accurate figure...
Now I appreciate it may not be possible, which is ok, but thought i'd ask the question, that's all...

Once again Looky, you can’t be expected to make so many tweaks and alterations at the drop of a hat.
I think this colour change project probably could be done with a few choices being shown and if possible some feedback from us giving some indication of which is preferable.
I suspect right now that’s too much to handle……but I hope it’s put on the back burner until the moment is more favourable.🤞

It's on the Issues List but it's incredibly low priority. Top of the list are functionality issues, such as the fact that the Categories aren't behaving as they should, and Vanilla are dealing with that. Next are usability issues, such as adding My Comments to the Quick List so people can find them more easily. Your request is just a "nice to have" so isn't going to get looked at until the other stuff is sorted out. It may happen at some stage, but don't hold your breath.

Depends whether you're using the back button to go back to the menu, or the Charlton Life logo or the All Discussions link in the header. Going back in your browser doesn't refresh the discussions page, the other two do.

It's really, really, funny that there's now an exact total of posts a poster has made next to their name but no exact total of likes and LOLs. I don't know if that was done deliberately but either way, very good stuff

I agree with the font being small - if I zoom in on my iPad I’ll have to keep moving screen left/right to be able to read each line. Hope this is something you will fix, for those of us with old eyes 👀

I’ve not had access to the site by anything other than phone for about five years so it’s been a bit of an eye opener the amount that still used desktop view via home pc’s, laptops and iPads.

I am thankful that this site exists, and grateful towards all those who put in the work.
My viewing is tablet the most, desktop next, and telephone by far the least.
No laptop.
I find my way around in the same way I find my way around all of the internet, trial and error and random jabbing or clicking in the hope it might work.
