I'm a tad surprised at the negativity on here. We don't even know yet if Bell will be missing although I accept Burke probably will be. And this Kelman speculation is just that. Whoever is out then hopefully those coming in will step up to the plate. We are playing West Brom not Real PSG or Bayern.

The only thing I know is that a NJ team will put in a shift for us. It'll be a close game no doubt but can see us shading it by the odd goal in three, 2-1.

Bell has pulled his hamstring u don’t slap a plaster on it and suddenly he’s all better he will be out for minimum a few weeks

I wasn't aware that had been confirmed anywhere. If so then of course he won't be available.

Would be amazed if either Bell or Burke are in the squad tonight but we've still got three centre backs there who we know understand each other and don't concede many. Yes it's a concern long term with Jones and his injury issues but for tonight I don't see any reason the confidence should drop a huge amount.

They're also in a bad spot and their fans are very close (if not there already) to turning on the manager. Get the first goal and it will put a huge amount of pressure on an inexperienced manager in Ryan Mason to get it right. 1-0 Charlton
  • Missing the game tonight, so expecting a thunderous home win.

Can we have an admin take a look please, across pages 6 and 7. Broadstairs red no doubt thought he was being funny but this is not even members only and i don't want to be associated with that kind of remark, and nor should any other decent fan. Thanks in advance.

The amount of negativity ahead of the game on here is unreal. I know we’ve been in dreamland lately, but it’s still real, so enjoy it rather than being so pessimistic.

Under the (new) lights at The Valley.#cafc have won eight of their last nine midweek league games.

West Brom have lost their last three away matches in the Championship.

But this division doesn't really tend to follow the script all that often.

At home and with a few injuries, I would be happy to see us play 4-2-3-1.

Press from the front and utilise some players who have struggled with minutes of late. It brings Tanto, Knibbs, Apter, Fullah and Onel into the fold.

What injuries have you got mate? I hope they clear up. At least you’re not out and about eh

I'm surprised Enslin played today for U21s as we have no left sided cover. I can understand wingers playing on the wrong side, but not FB/WB. Bree or JRC, both right footers are our only alternatives, assuming Hernandez starts.

Mark Bowen was a rare example of a successful wrong footer.

Given that the match thread is up, I'm closing this one to do a bit of tidying up, and you can go and post over there
