It was injuries that completely destroyed our last season in the championship, absolutely dreading a repeat
It was far more than that, including a certain player refusing to play. We’re in a very different place now with a fair amount of squad depth too. It’s not a repeat
I wouldn’t say that we’re that far off. And it was way before the snake’s actions that we were in for a struggle.
You're right it's almost like the manager and players knew we were being bought by a conman.
  • I think we need a bit of realism. We play a team with much more financial clout every week, yet we compete and in some case embarrass other teams. Keep a clean sheet and we have a chance. It may be ugly at times but there’s a method in NJ’s madness.

Stevie Brown breaking Viera in half before Euell scores the fourth 🥰
  • On a positive note, we've currently got the second best Defensive record in the League now :)

    Another poor half from Leaburn.

His only good performance (for me) this season so far was in the 3-0 victory over Ipswich.
Tbf he’s not even feeding on scraps. So far the balls into the last 3rd have been hopeful at best. Didn’t he win the header for the pen? Get it into his feet ffs it’s so frustrating.
  • Watching on sky+ that keeps freezing and then restarting. I must be about 4 minutes behind the action!

Sadly I actually think the best bit of the game has been when the stream has frozen!

All pretty dire. Campbell and Leaburn both having the sort of night that makes you think they will never score again.

Doc never looked confident with the penalty. Ironic that when we finally get one, Kelman is out injured.

Oh come on, that barge on Docherty was worse than anything that Leaburn has been penalised for
Ref hasnt been great. At the game, its very poor from both sides, for how shit we've been, west brom havent done anything to really trouble us.
Must be me then because they have been a lot more dangerous in the final third. Might bit have made Krasinski make a have but neither have we. WBA are more threatening when they attack. None of our "wide" players can cross the ball (Bres is excellent at it but hasnt put a single cross in tonight) and TC & Leaburn might as well not be on the pitch.

Hark for the olden days when you had Killer up front. Or Sir Clive. But both wouldn't be picked by NJ because they wouldnt run around enough.

Should the pen have been retaken? Looked like their player that got to the rebound encroached a bit

    Leicester 1-0 Middlesbrough
    Bristol City 0-1 Blackburn
I think this league is actually substantially weaker than previous championships. I know it's famous for the fact that anyone can beat anyone, but none of the teams at the top are anything special.

For those wondering why Doc took it, if he'd hit it like he did in preseason at 1:16 I don't think we would have had too many worries. Just a bad pen today

Agree but it was a really bad pen and stupid run up.

Are passing poor as usual that takes the pressure off the opponents. Are headed clearances went straight to the WBS players all the time. Are keeper cannot kick himself out of a paper bag. We are lucky we are they are bad in font of goal so far.
We have been playing like this for most of games at least for the first or second 45mins. It why we should be happy to just stay up.

That's got to be up there with the most certain I've ever been that we'd miss a penalty .

Awful half, yet we could have been ahead. A complete lack of attacking ideas, and Hernandez on the left has no left foot, so we have no width on that side.

His radar hasn't always been correct, but at least Coventry is someone who can control the ball and try to make a progressive forward pass, instead of passing backwards or hoofing it.
Agree I'd switch Hernandez to the right personally

Tough game this, and I'm glad we are level.  Pens do get saved and we don't deserve to be in front.   Nothing is sticking up front although most balls up to them are rubbish.  Lloyd is having a stormer, but Ramsey is struggling with Karlans pace. Midfield needs to get a grip on second balls then we can feed the forwards better.  We still have a chance but I'd take a point now given the option.  COYA!

Maybe it's not necessarily his fault but seems like we just change into 'hit and hope' balls forward when Leaburn is on the pitch.

Lots more football played on the floor going forwards when Kelman is on instead, could be a psychological thing.

Feckin hoofball.  Feel like someone's transported me back to last year.
    Hoofball ????

    It's the opposite.

    Pass.....pass....pass....misplaced pass.

I welcome the good old days when there are 2 strikers up front, 2 wingers, and the keeper hits it long for the forwards to fight for it.

My stream is buffering a lot last 10 mins or so , hopefully that's sorted soon.
  • Shocking from us……giving the ball away time after time!

Totally shite  don't think even our most ardent fans can call us a footballing side!

We're not winning the pen with Kelman out there though, it was Leaburn that caused it.

    3-5-2?
  • Watched the half, but haven't been able to follow on here as well.

May have been asked before, but is the feed shite again?   Or just me?

Keeps dropping out for about 5 seconds.   But went for around 30-45 during this break.

Once I saw Doherty I immediately accepted it was missed.
