To be fair the injuries around this time that season, which saw us having to rely on Vennings / Dempsey / Davison etc. didn't help either.Sheepie1985 said:
It was far more than that, including a certain player refusing to play. We’re in a very different place now with a fair amount of squad depth too. It’s not a repeatDDOUBLEE said:It was injuries that completely destroyed our last season in the championship, absolutely dreading a repeat
Not a true comparison, and helps having a bench of nine, rather than seven, but already we're bringing in Gough / Anderson / Fullah2 -
So True.ForeverAddickted said:
Be surprised if he releases any info, he's usually keeps injury lengths quite close to his chest.DamoNorthStand said:Hopefully find out from NJ tonight how long Burke and Bell are out. Literally down to the bare bones at the back.
We dont even know realistically how long Edwards will be out for.Jones wouldn’t tell us things like that.1 -
Thankfully, there’s no chance of a premier league club recalling our best midfielder this season, so that’s a plus7

My kids are well excited to see their Norwich hero Hernandez starting.
I have messed this parenting lark right up.12 -
Given that Southampton have just sacked Will Still though, and James Bree is one of our best players...DDOUBLEE said:Thankfully, there’s no chance of a premier league club recalling our best midfielder this season, so that’s a plus
The new Manager there, might want to take a look at him in January.1 -
Again, as long as the boys give 100% to try and win the game, that’s all we can ask for. COYR9

Yay. I sort of predicted Hernandez might have a role. Be great if he gets off the mark.3

When I said on the Preview thread "just 2 words.....Karlan Grant" I was told that he doesn't usually start & nowdays is just an impact sub. Bileik was also a sub in their last gamen & came on for a few minutes.eastterrace6168 said:See they have Grant starting up top...🤦♂️
Some opposing managers just know about these things. Whereas when we played QPR Kelman was on the bench.

Anyone know exactly what Kelman has done to himself? Wasn't even aware of a rumour but as FA has said our Nathan doesn't say much so we're in the dark again.0
-
Hamstring injury is the rumour that was going around on Social Media, so could have three of them to suddenly deal with, as suspect thats what Bree and Burke have got to recover from as well, the way they pulled up on Saturday.peterreeves said:Anyone know exactly what Kelman has done to himself? First time I’ve seen the team sheet this season and felt worried.Potential to go wrong I think.2
-
I like that team . Very physical .
You just know Grant is going to score and give it large.0 -
Don’t know why he would give it large…. Maybe my memory is failing me but I don’t remember it being a particularly acrimonious split5
-
A lot more depth to this squad. Defensive resources a bit stretched right now, but still a starting XI made up entirely of senior pros of a good standard - don't forget we had the likes of James Vennings starting games in 2019/20. We're a way of being that desperate yet.DDOUBLEE said:It was injuries that completely destroyed our last season in the championship, absolutely dreading a repeat2 -
Hope we see Fullah come on at LWB at some point, the kid is really special.5

Let's hope we don't find out.DamoNorthStand said:Don’t know why he would give it large…. Maybe my memory is failing me but I don’t remember it being a particularly acrimonious split1 -
Don't mind me saying but a few people are over cooking the injury thing. Its exactly why we bought in the number of players that we did and realistically there was every chance they would get a chance to stake their claim for a place, that proved to be the case with Ramsay's sending off against Millwall, he had the position, loses it, and ended not being first choice. A lot of posters were calling for changes, well let's see how it pans out before we start casting doubts.6

Thanks FA... There's me thinking it might just be an ear infection.... Now I'm worried if it's a hammy.ForeverAddickted said:

It certainly means damage limitation tonight and Saturday and get over the line to the two week break. However, trying to be positive despite the negatives there is a chance that Tanto, Apter, Berry and Ibby might step up because a lot of the players on Saturday looked like they were wading through treacle. Looking forward to seeing Hernandez st wing back- he looked quick on Saturday when he came on..... 1-1 again0

If i was tanto id be fuming tbh4

He was boo-ed quite a bit last time he played here (for Huddersfield ?). Might have scored too iirc.DamoNorthStand said:Don’t know why he would give it large…. Maybe my memory is failing me but I don’t remember it being a particularly acrimonious split0 -

Defensively we are starting Hernandez and on the bench we have two kids with zero league appearances between them and Rankin-Costello. Don't think that's over cooking the injury thing.Bailey said:Don't mind me saying but a few people are over cooking the injury thing. Haha, you are not alone, my grandson is friends with his nephew (we live in Norwich) so he is very excited as well. Hope I am not moaning about him by 10 tonight!!ThrappersAddick said:My kids are well excited to see their Norwich hero Hernandez starting.
