    I feel like we’ve loaned a lot of young midfielders that struggled to make the jump into men’s football over the last few years - Dylan Levitt, Matt Smith, Gavin Kilkenny, Lewis Fiorini and Nile John all spring to mind. Gallagher the outlier. 
    God what a dreadful list of names, genuinely would like to know how on earth we ever thought signing them was a good idea.

    Sometimes I think we take the position of we were shit and that's why we lost, not giving credit to the opposing sides quality is probably in the football supporters DNA and this is borne out by last nights result for Derby at Bristol City, if we gave Derby a 2-1 win by being shit then Bristol must have stayed in the dressing room.

    If Coady is genuinely a midfield signing that is a joke. 

    We needed players able to get up and down with a bit of attacking quality. Coady is the exact opposite of that.

    For the sake of preserving my mental health, I'm presuming we are still working on bringing in a mobile number 8.

    A player who has been bombed out of his last 2 clubs for being too slow at CB is not the answer to our midfield problems.

    I watched it. And I saw a team that tried hard in that first half but was limited by talent and tactical decisions. We set up completely wrong. Anderson and Gillesphey were completely out of their depth and in the second half, the shape was even worse. 

    I accept we let heads drop and gave up with ten to go which was unacceptable, but for the majority of the game we were crap but not without effort.

    Jones has got the last couple of games wrong because of who he has played and where he has played them.
    Sorry. I disagree. We went and the team were a total embarrassment

    Putting fullback Bobby Curtis into midfield proved to be a master stroke.

    Curtis added drive and energy to the midfield, could win the ball, give it or carry it - even a trademark pile driver from outside the box.

    And take a set piece.

    A few eating humble pie so far…coady looking for the ball playing it about. What we needed vs 9 men Sheffield united. So far our new signings apart from Jones have been our best players.

    I think Doc has helped, he fights and does the simple things well, but when the side plays well he is often involved in our better moments.

    Said for a long time, Doc isn’t the greatest BUT we play better as a side when he’s in it.
    Does the overlooked stuff.  Not flash but makes us better.

    I think he played there today due to the game and form of others.  Doubt it is a longterm fix.

    If you think judging someone off one performance, in which he barely had to touch the ball is a gotcha then I don’t have much to say. 

    If he does well in that role then yes, I am wrong. But today he had very little to do (he did lead well on the pitch). It’ll be a totally different game against QPR and we’ll see how he holds up.
