Just spent 2 mill …. Any money will go back into the summer budgetct_addick said:Might as well hold on to Mbick…can’t spend the money on transfers anyhow….

The £20m was a guess and Carter dismissed itAthletico Charlton said:So what do people think next summers transfer budget is..?
£10M like last summer seems reasonable if still in the Championship. Add £5M for M'bick, add £20M new investment, add £1M Lookman money, minus £1.5M on Collins.
Gives us £34.5M - exciting.3 -

He has never played above league 2. I'm one who thinks we should be holding onto him, but 5mil would be good businessGisappointed said:Mbick needs to be eight figures, but how much for TC or Kanu?
Ok, should have said has never proven himself above league 2fenaddick said:

Completely different scenario.Gisappointed said:
For MM its not just his goals but his overall game. £5m bought us Tante, Burke and Apter, none of whom are contributing to our seasonVanbrughHill said:
I love our academy but comments like this are outrageous and hilarious. 7 goals in 20 games at League Two level and suddenly he’s worth £10m+?Gisappointed said:Mbick needs to be eight figures, but how much for TC or Kanu?Burke had played sustained periods in the Championship or Premier League. Tanto is 26 and has played 4 seasons at League One & Two, Apter 2 seasons at League One & Two. All of those combined were worth £5m - a 19-year-old with half a season in League Two is not a £10m player. There are players in their prime going for less in the Championship.1 -
Or £5m bought us our keeper, knibbs and Kelman, all of whom have been regularly involved. I’m guessing it depends on what way you want to spin itGisappointed said:

Or, help with the day to day running costs of the club up till June, making budgeting for the next season easier by reducing the debt.RonnieMoore said:

We'll have none of that talk around here please. If he's not a defender, we're out.NabySarr said:Have a rumour for you all. Ian Poveda on loan from Sunderland. Left footed winger4 -

They are tracking the Mbick story on page 1 of Northstandchat but not exactly thrilled with the prospect so far, understandably. If it went to a public vote the majority of both fanbases would leave him be by a wide margin. Whatever happen i'd hope at least Micah gets what he wants out of it and isn't traded like a chattel.

After Bennette and now Poveda , is it going to be a.new tradition that we get linked with a South American left footed winger from Sunderland every January?5
-
Wasn’t we linked with him a few windows back?

Dam your 'training ground speak' ' big lump that scores' are you still doing the scouting job Robbo !CaptainRobbo said:
I think Kanu is the more natural goalscorer of the two.YannTheMann said:All the talk of not being able to spend Mbick money confirms to me that a lot of our fans have based a lot of their thinking around football on FIFA & Football Manager. Would be a shame to loose a young talent but I'd like to remind everyone we also have DK out at the same level who has a 1 in 2 strike rate for Walsall in the league, guess some just have a glass half empty approach to things
But a big lump that scores seems to be the in thing at the moment.1 -

Poveda can play attacking mid as well can't he?0

If a CM doesn’t come in I’m going to be disappointed. I’m not convinced that midfield is good enough to stay up at all and since we were in for Field clearly Jones doesn’t think so either.3

Some great posts there. We're basically signing a hopeless fat guy.Callumcafc said:11 -
Fits our hardly ever played profile 🤣5 -
Born in Southwark, so naturally plays for Colombia!5

It’s good enough to be 18th at the moment. Yes it could have done with an upgrade but the midfield hasn’t been the reason for our form tanking the last few months. Plus we’ve added Coady thereaso914 said:If a CM doesn’t come in I’m going to be disappointed. The big worry for me is at LWB. If chambers gets injured we are back to playing Bell there until he breaks or Fevrier/TC playing out of position1 -
