I'd only take Bree if the terms are we take over his contract and don't part with additional funds.

If they want, say 500k, for someone OOC in the summer, they can shove it

Been on CL since I first had hair on my balls but i never thought i'd witness a thread veer onto nail varnish...

Although i bet the owner of that hand does not have hair on his/its/her bollox.

Wouldn't want to pay a substantial fee for Bree, if we could do a loan extension until the end of the season and then nab him on a free then that would probably be the best route

What’s the consensus with Bree? We’ve only got him for one more league game.

contract cancelled at Soton and short term deal?
I think they will want some kind of a fee. May get one from elsewhere if we are not willing to pay?
Bree will probably not want to sacrifice any of the money that he’s due to earn on his very good Southampton contract, so he will probably want them to pay him off to leave permanently. That’s where Southampton will probably ask us for a fee and we will cover that pay off for them

It’s the woman team … look at the nail varnish
Just look at the f**king account name people, none of you need to go all Sherlock Holmes on it :D - Unless the Mens team account has been hacked to read: Charlton Athletic W**kers
Are you saying its a W**kers hand ?

It’s 2026 people. Men can paint their nails too if they so wish.
Noah Lyles, Dennis Rodman being examples.

I don’t know why, but I have that sixth sense that we are going to announce a signing today.

The old feeling in your water? It could be Cystitis.
  • Think he used to play for AEK? Might be a decent LWB?

    When does the window close?

When does the January transfer window close?

It will be open for a month before closing at 7pm GMT on Monday, 2 February.

The deadline is scheduled for February as January 31 falls on a weekend.

When does the January transfer window open and close in Europe?

The window for European leagues will also close on February 2, meaning there's no danger of players leaving for Clubs on the continent after the English window shuts.

Anderson to Wycombe on loan is close.
Bit surprised because he does a job when winning. NJ brought him on in the playoff final to protect the league. But maybe docherty will now be used for that role I guess, seeing as he’s no longer starting.

Hopefully best for us in the long term but def a bit disappointed short term. Think he's a better option than Doc at the mo

Don’t think you can underestimate Docherty’s importance as a leader though. He’s a great captain, and probably a lot more valuable as a squad player than Karoy is for that reason

According to a Southampton "commentator" quoting on the BBC site, something like "the Saints squad is way too big and they need to cut it down", words to that effect.

We must have another CM lined up if Anderson goes on loan, be madness not to replace him.

Letting Anderson go does create a better pathway for Fullah though. Carey becomes an option at 8 more (even if we don't like it) leaving Fullah a chance to jump up a space in the pecking order

Would still want another CM in if Karoy is loaned out. I know Carey could drop in if needed but that wouldn't be ideal.

Jodie Hutton is a great LWB to be fair, probably get more of a tune out of her than Roussillon

Wouldn't want to pay any sort of fee for Bree - started really well and there's clearly a player there, but he's massively gone off the boil recently to the point where his set pieces are now a joke.

either Saints cancel his contract or we extend the loan
