Apparently Orient also interested in taking Karoy Anderson on loan
    They love signing Charlton players
Pair him up in midfield with Tyreeq Bakinson :)

I was excited by the idea of DKD before, not now.

You have to be a certain level of League 1 player to adjust to this league, especially as an attacker. Defenders and Midfielders seem to make the jump far more smoother.

We don't create enough chances and don't have enough of the ball for someone like DKD to work imo.

Kelman looked like a goal machine in League 1 yet he has struggled a lot in this league, and only just started to show why we signed him, he's a different level of finisher to DKD as well, far more rounded.

We need a striker who has a bit about him and can get stuck in, not another lightweight, without being harsh.

That said, it ain't my money, and I would rather have him than not, as 11 goals already this season is hard to ignore.
The only rounded striker we've had in the last few years is JFH.

The one thing I like about DKD that I've not seen from any of our current batch of Strikers, or No.10's was the way he danced into the area against us at the Valley last season... the only player I've seen close to having that kind of footwork / ball control is Leaburn, when he scored against someone in front of the Jimmy Seed last season.

DKD looked very good in League One. Was definitely one of the best players I saw against us last year.

That being said, I also thought Tanto was magic when he was turning Ramsay inside out at Stockport, and that is yet to be seen here.

At a price between 1-1.5 million he’d be worth a gamble, but I think Barnsley will want far more than that.

They can ask for 50m if they want, it won't matter, he'll go for less, they're 17th in League 1 and he won't want to waste much more of his career at that level

If a player is better than what we have in any position and he is available to us, then we’d be stupid to not act on it, even if we have good numbers in a particular position, not many of our attacking mids. have really staked a claim so couldn’t complain if dropped/ moved on.
I agree in general, but with our budget and position we have to be more careful.

We need to strengthen the right areas, not just sign the best players we can attract.

DKD is also 28 and never played for a club down south. It would be a big gamble despite his scoring record in L1.

Agree, DKD is one of those at his age you wonder why he hasn’t been more successful, just see him as the same gamble like the other league 1 players we’ve signed. I was generalising to be honest I’ve a horrible feeling we are going to be underwhelmed with our business, and I’m usually glass 3/4full😬

Certainly none have as the loan club will have said something, doesn’t mean they won’t though

Honestly I think with the FA Cup being this weekend a lot of clubs understand that there's no crazy rush to get people in
