basically this - if he continues in this form for the rest of the season and we'll be fighting off bidders next summer and beyond.WSS said:I think four years pretty much secures us £10m+ if he continues playing well. And if he's still with us in 5 years then I think we'll be in the PL.
Great bit of business by the club, now get JLS

Will he have time to score the winner tomorrow before getting injured and out for the season?1

Good job, well done TC and the Club.2

Might be time to buy the away top with TC on the back.3

He's delighted. He does all this targeting of players in order to wind people up because he's just a troll. TC staying on means he can continue to do it, it's an absolute result for him. Which is fine, because you can just ignore his posts and we still have TC for another 4 yearsOggy Red said:Someone told me Ronnie is distraught

Glad we got that done, now when the rumors start as for example the Bowen ones,
we know we will be getting twenty million pounds for him. 0 -
He's going to score the winner against Spurs3

Make sure you add the shorts and socks to that order as well Callum.14 -
Great news - been our main threat for 3 years now - this season is panning out so far as many predicted in that if we start adding other threats, TC will not be so tightly marked and will benefit massively from that - he also benefits massively from not being asked to play wing back - he's been carrying us to an extent, certainly last season and now he's been rewarded which is great for him and us. Starting to feel like the Curbs days when we were building and retaining players like newton, robinson and rufus. Things are definitely looking up.12

I said this on here a month ago that if we tie him down he could easily go for a £7m-£10m fee in future. There were even some lols on the post and I think @ElfsborgAddick said we’d be lucky to get a million for him? Wonder if those views have changed sinceMartinCAFC said:
This, I remember saying a while back as a club we need to be better at selling players for there proper valuation at least.ForeverAddickted said:Great news... Even if we dont keep Tyreece for the next four years, because his progress is quicker than what we can achieve... He's the sort of player we need to sell for proper money, not £2.7m, if we want to be able to progress as a club, and invest Academy sales back into the squad as a whole. If TC keeps up this form and scores 12+ goals along with a decent number of assists he could easily go for £12m+
Well done the club.Yes, it was I.Time will tell what fee we eventually get for him and if he continues in this vein of form my figure will look a bit shaky. You are clearly better at scouting players talent than Andy Scott!0 -
Fantastic work, so glad he's been signed up. If he continues how he is playing, he may well be sold at the end of the season, but we would at least get some decent money for him.
One thing with TC is he links up with Leaburn. They've come through the age groups together and I think having both of them here and playing, is a massive benefit for both of their games, and for the club.1 -
@NabySarr no doubt has w***** himself silly this morning with the good news

Could explain why West Ham didn't lock him in the London stadium after the game on Saturday too. Thought they might put in a cheeky bid there and then.Chizz said:I understand that the contract was signed on Friday. Which means that the comms team deserves credit as well as (of course) Jones and the whole management. Because announcing it today elongates the feel-good factor beyond the weekend win at West Ham and into today.
I am very pleased. TC could go on to be a really significant part of Charlton's further forward momentum.
But today also brings up another tantalising question: when is the next announcement. Because, as I understand it, from an unimpeachable, impeccable source, there will be at least one more...1 -

Wonder what his 'buy-out' price is now, in his contract.CAFCOlly said:Incredible news. If he continues his early-season form, we could finally be in line for a handsome payday next summer after years of mismanaging and underselling some of our best academy products.
Hopefully we’ll get a few more seasons out of a fit and firing TC but when the time eventually comes, that money can be reinvested to help finance the club’s development and, perhaps, finally give us something resembling a sustainable model.
Bring JRS in as well and we could be in for a very exciting few years.

Fantastic news for ALL Charlton fans and not a day for sowing division, but I hope everyone can understand if those of us who have had to repeatedly come on here and defend him over the last few years take an extra spoonful of enjoyment and vindication from his recent form, and the overwhelmingly positive reaction to today’s news.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and I’ve been wrong about plenty of players down the years too, but what I do hope is a few of our less patient fans maybe think over the way TC has been viewed and portrayed over the last 2 or 3 years, vs. the reality of how he has developed, and maybe try to think a bit differently about our academy graduates in the future.A young player’s development is rarely linear. It has peaks and troughs. It can progress and regress in phases. It can take several seasons and can be damaged by the wrong manager or an unsupportive fan base, just as it can be enhanced by the right manager and support.
Even then, they won’t all make it. But, if you have a player with a nugget of genuine talent and a desire to work and improve, it is in the club's best interests for EVERYONE to give them support, patience, and time to realize their potential.
Just imagine - if some had got their way TC and Leaburn would’ve been hounded out of the club in the last year or two and someone else would have been reaping the wonderful benefits of our academy’s hard work.
Consistency is what needs to come next for both of them but, if we can get it out of them, then it’s going to be a fun season watching it.7 -
Sole searching? ....no, it was just a haddockSword65pf said:Well done both Charlton and TC, I’m sure there was some serious sole searching in committing to the club, especially if he wasn’t particularly feeling the love, obviously he came to a decision he’s comfortable with and seems to be making an effort to engage with the fans more knowing he had signed or was goi
ng to, something is seriously clicking with him, which I personally wasn’t sure he would put it all together, now let’s support him in the way he deserves after committing to us.

I have not read everything but is there an option of an extra year on top of the four years?0
