Landslide for Rory surely? Lando second and Hampton third feels the most obvious top 3.0
-
Lando for me . Rory Second and Littler Third . I’ve no idea who the other three are .5
-
Rory or Lando...
Littler???...Darts ain't a sport...🤦♂️3 -
I think Lando might struggle with being stuck on Sky in the main.Bedsaddick said:Lando for me . Rory Second and Littler Third . I’ve no idea who the other three are .2 -

Interestingly there has not been a male winner for 5 years.
And with a Women's euros win again, you cant bet against it becoming 6.
Rory has missed out to Hamilton in the past, and think it would be fair if he beat out Lando this time.2 -
The two Lionesses will split the vote, especially as they play for the two women’s teams with the most fans. I think this is Rory’s best chanceDamoNorthStand said:Interestingly there has not been a male winner for 5 years.

It should be Rory by some distance, but I've a nasty feeling it won't be.2

I want Hannah Hampton to win just because I want to see the effect it has on Mary Earps. Make her present the trophy as well12
-
I don't know who Lando is without looking, so either I'm out of touch or he has no chance, whoever he is2

Oh he does the cars. Yawn4

Beth Mead winning it was absolutely the softest SPOTY of all time. She literally went missing in the SF and FGarrymanilow said:I want Hannah Hampton to win just because I want to see the effect it has on Mary Earps. Make her present the trophy as well2 -

A bit weird to have 2 people from the same team in the 6.
Kelly was a great supersub and scored the winning penalty in the final, but only scored one regular goal in the tournament. To me Hampton is more worthy, seeing that we won penalty shootouts in the QF and Final.3 -
Pretty strong list that2

Overseas SPOTY is an absolute shoe in. Nobody has won more Golf tournaments than this guy this year:

An absolute joke that Pogacar didn’t get nominated for the overseas one6

I must be some form of dinosaur, if you said to me any of those 3 female names I would not have a clue who they were.10

I reckon they were waiting for the F1 season to finish before announcing the contenders. Easier to put Lando in there if he won.
It should be Rory by rights but wouldn't bet against a woman to win it. Looks like they had to shoe-in 1 or 2 just to make it an equal 3-3 split.
And I dont think a single person in an 11 player team should win it. Should be based on individual merits. There is a team award for a reason.0 -
My pick for SPOTY would be Simon Yates, can't believe he's not nominated for his fantastic win at The Giro.fenaddick said:An absolute joke that Pogacar didn’t get nominated for the overseas one
His ride on stage 20 to turn it around on the same mountain he lost the race on back in 2018 was stunning and sporting romance at its finest.
3rd British Rider to win it and only the 2nd British rider (after Froome) to win multiple Grand Tours.
He would've got my vote anyway!6 -
They were all at the front of massive marketing campaigns before going on to win international tournaments for England, they were impossible to avoid - particularly if you watch anything on the BBCAFKABartram said:I must be some form of dinosaur, if you said to me any of those 3 female names I would not have a clue who they were.0 -
I dunno why people take it seriously, one example is Ronnie O Sullivan has never been given it, look at what he has done at the top of snooker for years. Phil Taylor was never acknowledged, recent times its all about giving it to a woman/ or something PC. just not even worth the discussion or watching , haven't for years.
All a bit BBC for me9 -

Ignoring the end bit Phil Taylor came 2nd in 2010 and Ronnie has been nominated twice in the last five years. The BBC can’t be blamed for the general public not voting for peoplejohnnybev1987 said:I dunno why people take it seriously, one example is Ronnie O Sullivan has never been given it, look at what he has done at the top of snooker for years. Ronnie O'Sullivan has been nominated twice, but finished outside the top three in both 2020 and 2022.3
