    Not sure if my brain is being slow, but if they won both matches last season surely they have already beaten us in consecutive league matches?
    It doesn't say that. It says the home team won both games last season.


    Badly written as it leaves ’the home team’ to interpretation.  Birmingham are the home team for match in question so if you substitute those words with ’Birmingham ’ then the phrase is incorrect.

    It should be something like ’both these teams won the home fixtures last season’. Much clearer and with fewer words.

    The standards of journalism are worsening.



    Anyway, none of this matters because we’re not going to lose today. We could even grab a win with a late goal from Jones or Gillesphey.
