Fullah feels a bit wasted at LWB. Needs to be further up the pitch

Cant believe how most people on here are so abusive to our own players, especially homegrown charlton players.

Same people that were gassing up our poorer performers during our good run.
I don't normally slag them off much, but he has mostly been on his arse this match, and when he gets a golden chance, he screws it up.
The whole team is playing poorly, we are on a bad run, missing some key defenders so we've lost our balance, chopping and changing selection and shape. Thats life and football. Don't let the highs be too high or the lows too low.
I agree that we are missing defenders & having them back would solidify things at the back.

However, our problem all season has been scoring goals. Leaburn has (apparently) missed a sitter to make it 1-1. You cant miss chances when you are only making 2 or 3 per game. Tough on the forwards but there it is.

    Oh leaburn
For those of us not there or watching it can you elaborate.
Got the ball played to him about 9 yards out, half the goal gaping with the goalie out of position. Skyed it.
    Thanks for the explanation.

Anyone who has watched football knows he isn't a striker of note. I got laughed out of town last season when I said he wasn't worth £200k when people were quoting £2m +.
Saying he’s worth less than £200k is a big exaggeration too.

We’ve been so shit that I actually agree with Golfie

  • We've had a few weeks of "don't play Knibbs/Berry, Carey looks worse"

He very clearly needs a rest or time out, he hasn't looked on it in weeks

Only possible change there is TC at wing back and Fullah in Carey’s position.

We are so limited for options atm.

Saw someone say hook Leaburn off halfway through the first half as well.

    FOR WHO?????

    Yep.

We should go 4 at the back. Put Fullah & Apter on the wings & get them putting crosses in to the forwards. Actually try to create something.

Weird first half they look streets ahead of us but still only 1 up all to play for 2nd half. Fullah not looking out of place, if Kelman isn’t ready to return by jan we need to buy a striker!!

We were four at the back on Tuesday to begin with, and "everyone" was calling for us to go five at the back

Jones then gets called stubborn for not doing whatever that person wants

Apter as a 10 for Carey? Would give us pace and someone that can pick a pass

Blues TV have said we are devoid of any ideas of how to try and turn this around.

Nice of them to think we had ideas before needing to.

Brum clearly the better team, but annoying to concede from a set pieces after all their good open play.  Miles missing a sitter, but as long as we don't concede again we still have a chance of equalising.

Someone suggested that Kelman might be back next week

Not that it would really resolve anything, other than pressing from the front as we'd still be without a natural Left Wing-Back.

With a diamond midfield that doesn’t suit this squad to be fair.

Yes its true, even when we were winning it was from grinding out victories with the odd goal. But lets face it, without having Edwards or Bell, we've completely lost our shape and system. Until 1 of those are back or this lad on the bench turns out alright, we will probably keep losing.

Leaburn should have scored no doubt, but he didnt, so sub him off immediately? Abuse him? Pointless.

Gillesphey gets murdered when he plays left back. See Stoke (A) and being 2-0 down in the first five minutes.

I like the idea of putting Apter on for Carey, and having him in the 10... TC can replace Leaburn or Olaofe and go Wing Back with Fullah pushed up, and we can have those two attempt to cause similiar problems, to what we've seen them "do" against West Brom and Middlesbrough.
  • I do think we could get back into this, in the grand scheme of things we’re playing well albeit some poor individual performances. Think we should see apter on for leaburn

I’ll get my tin hat but I think we’re in for a shout of getting back into this.  There’s a bit more balance with Fullah being left footed, albeit he’s not getting forward as I think he’s being a bit cautious, but they are trying to move the ball.  It’s not coming off granted, but there seems to be a bit more a shape than in recent weeks for me.

Hopefully this won’t come back to make me look stupid at full time, but don’t write us off yet 🤞

The keeper was on the floor and Leaburn skyed an open goal, it was horrific.
  • NJ needs to conjure up another style of play or attacking tactic, launching it up to their centrebacks every time we get the ball hasn’t worked for about 10 straight games. Get TC and Apter on wide, move Fullah into the 10 and try to play through midfield and expose their wingbacks.

Its possible... But Jones may not want to risk either until the bigger game against Oxford next weekend.

Fantastic free kick delivery and a brilliant header from Klarer
It’s clever from Klarer, he pushes Gillesphey down so he can’t jump
And Gillesphey just accepts it. Not a fucking peep out of him. Surprisingly Brownie didn’t pick up on it.
What can he do - He's not allowed to speak to the Referee!!

Its not like the Referee is going to chalk off a goal based off what someone says either
No, you are right. I have never seen any other player complain to the ref when they feel hard done by. Silly old me
But what is it going to achieve?

Plus the rules literally say that from this season, only the Captain can talk to the referee
Nobody told Gray then did they. He just had a right go and finger point at the referee. No action taken at all.
    Did he achieve anything

Or do you just want to feel better about yourself, by having players ranting and raving like my 7-year old?
Blimey, that’s a bit of a leap mate? As I keep saying a former pro regularly talks about it being worth putting some pressure on the ref. It might achieve the official giving Gray the benefit of the next 50/50? I would rather our players question dubious decisions like that one than meekly accept it.

I have no truck with people saying our players are poor, not good enough, not up to standard etc

It’s when they start saying things like dogshit, donkey etc I have no time for
