Lyndon Dykes - called up for Scotland friendlies v Japan & Ivory Coast at end of March (p14)

Just either ends up on the floor or giving away a foul. This year's Hemed.0
-
There’s no point judging any strikers this season, the midfield creativity and service is non existent5
-
As I have said Dykes is a donkey. Rarely scores doesn’t hold the ball up well enough and doesn’t win many headers.4
-
More than the last two imho. His form has fallen off a cliff.LittleAddick said:Been absolutely useless the last two games - may as well have had Lloyd Jones up front at least he'd win some headers.3 -
Form has completely gone off a cliff , was superb when he first came in , now looks like the player he was for QPR. Definitely not one I'd be signing in the summer now if he's now regressed to what he actually is.5

As above wouldn't keep him on but his goals have kept us in a better state than we would have been with the current strike force, there's a lot more players we should be digging out than him..5
-
Only the 3 goals in 19 games, though, and collectively, his goals have only gained us one point since his arrival. It's hardly a seismic impact.Steven81 said:As above wouldn't keep him on but his goals have kept us in a better state than we would have been with the current strike force, there's a lot more players we should be digging out than him..1 -
Can you list off the others strikers games to goals ratio please aswell for seismic impacts thanks 👍 or is counting a second goal in games not worthy of three points since we hardly do it sadly.LittleAddick said:

3 goals + 3 assists (realistically 4 with Kelman’s goal at Brum) so 2nd most goal contributions in the squad He’s been poor recently but still been our best forward this season

I still don't think, when you factor in his inability to press, and the fact he's meant we just hoof long balls to him all game as our sole tactic, that he's been a positive influence.Crispywood said:LittleAddick said:

So it’s his fault that he’s not telepathically in control of the other players telling them not to go long to him?LittleAddick said:

Not sure if he's trying to get sent off? Has anyone else noticed him forcefully shove an opposition defender in the face with two hands from kick-off? He did so against Norwich too.0
-
Now in a "doesn't want to get injured before the World Cup" phase. Waste of space. Prefer he was not here next season.0
-
Was excellent for us initially, but does seem to be phoning it in ahead of world cup. Really can't be carrying players with that mentality3
-
Not saying it's his fault, but it's the only we can play with such an immobile forward up top.Crispywood said:

Actually really glad he didn't manage to get a cheap goal from Fevrier's full length sprint!

Think people have turned on him too quickly. He’s not anything special at this level but he’s exactly the type of striker you imagine for a side finishing 12th - 18th in this league, which is exactly what we should be aiming to be for the next couple of seasons. He knows the league well and would be an important character to have around when results dip.
We could go out and sign two exciting foreign forwards instead but that’s a significant gamble that could backfire if neither of them can settle in.
I’m not saying he’s a must sign but I’d certainly be disappointed if someone of his ilk isn’t on the wishlist.7 -

Glad we didn’t get a goal to score points for an argument against dykes.Strange take.5 -

No thanks . We were much better without him this week. Having him there guarantees long ball rubbish and he’s not that good at holding the ball up. I wish him well - he put a really good shift in but no thanks.Callumcafc said:Think people have turned on him too quickly.
