1-0 win TC @LWB and I fancy Dykes to open his account in the second half following a tight scrappy first half…

    Not optimistic for this one.

We were absolutely honking at their place and got away with a point. They'll be coming here to get a win, not draw.

Derby are a weird side, complete mix of results against all types of teams, just beat Preston away and very recently Boro, so it shows they have the quality. They're just not a consistent side.

I would take a draw here, I don't see this as one of the winnable/favourable fixtures.

    1-1.
Wasn’t we ok 1st half, then honking 2nd??
  • Finally we have a home game on a Saturday and Tuesday. However, the timing couldn’t be worse. No LWB and the right side of defence has players who ideally need to be eased back in.

I’d imagine TC will be LWB (he didn’t look 100% on Saturday) and Ramsay RWB with Burke RCB. Wouldn’t be surprised if Dykes started over Leaburn or Kelman with three games this week. Expect Cov to start too.

4 points from Derby and Sheff United would be a solid return. Although a win will be great, with two aways after. They’ll be hard to break down, but so will we.

Before SU I'd have been happy with 4 points from these two games, however let's hope our fortune holds and another treble comes our way,  2-1 Addicks.

If Goddén is held back for the second half with Dykes starting the danger is he may break down / not accomplish much.

We was in control at there place leading 1-0 at halftime with a chance to go third and we blew it by sitting on a 1-0 lead the second half

Forget tomorrow guys Linnington one of the all time top 3 worst refs we ever had is in charge .. EFL getting there own back after Saturday ..

    Take a point now …

    Team
    Kaminski
    Clarke
    Burke
    Jones
    Gillesphey
    Ramsey

    Coventry
    Doc
    Carey

    Dykes
    Kelman

So are you saying the EFL have specific match officials they can appoint to games so that one side cannot win?

Mrs Bouquet and I appreciate your pronouncing Goddén's name correctly, with emphsis on the second syllable.

I said before Saturday we must get 4 points at least from these 2 home games. I am usually wrong so it will be 3 or 6. Sheff utd are better 8n my view but derby are better away from home.

If we sit or get pushed back like we did against utd, Derby will pick us off.

    Must not lose.

Compared to Trevor Kettle and Kelvin Morton, Linnington is nowhere near those two individuals

  • Against a team like Derby, especially at home, I'd usually hope that's a game we'd back ourselves to give a real go, from the off. With my expectations reset after Saturday's game, I predict we'll play within ourselves and grind out what we can.

Got to be looking to get 3 points from this, by whatever means necessary.

I can't imagine Ramsay plays after coming back from injury and also after being so shite on Saturday.

We'll go back to TC on the left, Burke at the back and Coventry in the middle, and it'll probably cost us a goal on that side

    Kaminski
    Burke Jones Gillesphey
    Clarke Costello Coventry Campbell
    Carey
    Leaburn Kelman
You didn’t need to add that he was shit….you could have left it at just come back from injury. We all know he’s not shit, he was just unfit.

I doubt Jones will pick the team with Saturday in mind. This is a better opportunity for the points. Not that we can't get something from Millwall but the focus will surely be on 3 points tomorrow.

Teams simply play through/round our midfield - even Sheff Utd did it a few times when down to 9 men.

Not faulting the effort or anything like that but we need a few midfielders. Of course, our left side is wide open, so I hope we can do something about that.

We need at least a point, because we will get nothing from the scammers this Saturday

He should definitely have one eye on Saturday knowing what it means - if he doesn’t then I’m entering it into the ‘games gone’ thread

Been ill today, thought I'd missed a game seeing this. I haven't. Bonus. Hopefully we nick this 1-0

Massive game I feel as I can’t see any points from the next few games. Unfortunately Derby have good away form. But I do expect a reaction following Saturday and I think we can win this 2-1 and 3 points towards safetyy

TBF Ronnie or not I would go for that.

With TC, Leaburn as the finishers

Referees are marked by both clubs and an assessor at each game and those referees with the lowest marks at the end of the season are demoted ( except first- season referees in some cases) How then has James Linington been refereeing continuously on the EFL since 2008! Clubs and assessors cant be collectively wrong over such a long periiod.

BTW, the name is Linington not Linnington.

If i'm honest, i'd pick whatever team is going to leave us as fresh as possible for Saturday - that includes 'managing the minutes' of Clarke, Burke, Ramsay and TC. Christ, do we need to sign a LWB and quick.
I think prioritise this game and try to win it .

We can't play with two defensive wingbacks as our creativity comes from the flanks. Unfortunately, if we assume Bell is out, that means Gillesphey and Campbell on the left, at the risk that Derby exploit it.

    Kaminski

    Clarke
    Burke
    Jones
    Gillesphey
    Campbell

    Coventry
    JRC
    Carey

    Leaburn
    Kelman

There's a conundrum, win against Derby and lose against Millwall, disappointing but six points from the three games, and it wouldn't be too many saying that's a bad total. Lose against Derby and Millwall, oh dear. That being the case two draws seem to be preferable, but only because we don't want to lose at the Den, Hobson's Choice I'm afraid.
