Has there been a replay of that 2nd TC pen appeal?

    Looked close from live viewing.

Maybe not quite as bad as some are saying but it's sure not good.

Our defence is crap. A keeper who can't dominate his area (and some of his short passes out are suicidal), a left back who looks like he hasn't played for a year (and needs a good meal) and our "star" man Ramsay having a nightmare (we really don't need to worry a PL team is going to nick him)

Anderson a red card waiting to happen.

Shout out to Campbell. Our only man looking likely to score.
On which occasion did he look likely to score……I didn’t see one?

Standard stuff so far. Would probably bring Leaburn and Apter on right now

Campbell has had a very good first half, Chambers has not had a very good first half.
By our standards we have looked quite lively upfront, but sadly the spanners are ripping us apart going forward, I hope that glaring miss from Coburn is a turning point in this game.
If I was a neutral I would have said this has been a good game so far.

He's had our sole shot on target

1-0 down but far from out of it (luckily) we can get forward but the only threat there is TC, who once again, is showing his worth when doing winger things, problem as always is where's the target to aim at in the box and general support.

Embrace a bit of 433/ 4231 have dykes stand in the box and get another winger on the right and see out the game and season.

Can’t Burke play on the left? I know he’s right footed but I’ve heard he has a decent left foot. Slot him in for Macca tbh.

They aren’t not scoring again in this game…. So we need to score multiple goals to get anything out of it.

    Coventry on for Anderson
    Ramsay for Burke
    Macca for Kelman

Back 4 of Clarke, Jones, Burke and Chambers
    Push TC wide.
Coventry and Carey in the middle
Kelman on to go up top with Dykes

For those that can remember the Magic Roundabout.
    They break like Zebedee.
    We are Brian. 🐌
    More like Dylan.

  • Have our fans thought about joining in with "We never beat Millwall" for some reverse psychology?
    It worked at Fratton Park

If Campbell who has been our best player had hit the ball across the keeper it may have rebounded to Carey who was in the box but we won't have that luck against Millwall.

Nathan needs to replace Anderson at HT because I don't want to be correct when I said either him or Dykes will get a red card today before KO !

Just hope we have a right go 2nd half, give our supporters something to get behind.

A most unfortunate goal to concede…..IMHO.

Offset against the glaring miss by Coburn, swings and roundabouts mate.

This is what I would do as well.

If TC hasn't covered 2x as much ground as any of our other players, I would be very surprised. He's about the only one that has turned up today. Certainly the only one who's showing any bottle to get on the ball and make something happen.

You feel that if we could revert to a 4231 and get someone on the other wing as direct as TC we’d be better off.

Apter and TC wide feels like it’s worth a try at some point.

Would allow NJ the chance to play the Karoy/Coventry pivot that he wants too.
  • Millwall may not have had many shots on target, but they created lots of fantastic opportunities. Ours have been half chances so apart from TCs 1on1 We've had no real opportunities.

Defensively we've been solid at times but sliced to pieces when Millwall use pace and whipped balls. Out crosses have not really resulted in scoring chances.

Working hard, but feels like a goal will only come from a mistake and luck.

1-0 is a bonus at HT.

Kayne needs to remember he can actually play football, what is going on with the constant scrapping.
  • I don’t think we were that bad that half, though 1-0 is definitely a fair reflection of the score.

Millwall just showing what it’s like to have quality in the final third.

Not that we have the squad for it. But I’d look to move to a 4-3-3 with Apter and Campbell on the wings.

We are not defensively solid enough to be so naff when we’re attacking.

Thinking the same. We need to pose more questions up top. Campbell by himself is too easy to stop.

We look like conceding every time teams come forward. I dont know what has caused this because we looked so assured end of last season and the beginning of this one.
Been playing without a LB for most of the season.

Dunno why I let it bother me still so much playing this lot when I know exactly what will happen every time

I mean we don't score goals so there's not really anything else to talk about

Do Charlton TV not bother showing highlights anymore? Just got a screen with some average house music playing over the top of it.

Very happy with Clarke as a signing. Looks decent.

We are not out of this yet. There is hope.

We equalise 89th and they win it in the last minute

Would be the most Charlton v Millwall second half imaginable

Midfield and front players are too far apart all of the time , ball doesn’t stick.

Campbell has had his best game for us in a very long time, long may that continue.  He's exciting and creative when on song.
