Sichenje - it’s not that hard.
Indeed. If we can learn to say Tchaikovsky or Michelangelo or Dostoyevsky, and know that Mainwaring = Mannering, Belvoir = Beaver, or Cholmondley = Chumley, we can learn to pronounce Sichenje.

Disappointed you've left St John out of this list, especially as it's closer in sound to Sichenje. Don't get complacent after that Only Connect win and let your standards slip  ;)

See-CHEN-Jay is how it's pronounced btw, with emphasis on the Chen.

Collins is easier to type and say, so I reckon he'll be called Collins a lot.

There's been loads of players that have been referred to by their first name, Naby, Macca for Gillesphey, Reza, Igor, Tanto, Chuks...
Hmmm. I do see your point, but most of the above acquired their CL name over time or as @Stig said due to some (in)famous incident.

Looks like he may well have one of those in him looking at his card count this season.

In my mind initially he will be called 'the new bloke', or more likely 'the other new bloke'.

Collins or Sichenje, seems like there’s still confusion by some of our fan base.🤔

If only he had his own thread already.

I don't understand why this is a thread and question? Ridiculous and find it quite sad it even needed to be made.

Use his first name or surname, don't get why apparently there's confusion amongst fans.

We better open threads for Kayne, Karoy, and Lloyd too, as just as many people use their first name here as surname.

As well as spelling various players names incorrectly there is a new conundrum to consider.

The reason I asked the ‘tongue in cheek’ question is that some fans genuinely think/thought his surname is Collins, which I found mildly amusing.
As a matter of fact, I don’t give a shit what people call him.
Sorry I didn’t come up to your ‘oh so high’ standard of posting ability and etiquette.🙄

Why have you randomly chosen Zulu as the language ?
