Exactly that they had the best striker/partnership in the premiership for a good few years but his reluctance to spend and build around them meant they started the decline actually sold kane a dud to stay on with them for longer than he should have.golfaddick said:They started to lose their way once they didnt replace Harry Kane with a top top striker. Then exacerbated their stupidity by not adequately replacing Son.
Levy might not like it but you have to spend millions & millions to be a top 6 Prem side. Players like Richarlerson are not it.0 -
Definitely all three.MrOneLung said:
Do I post in Spurs relegation thread, the managerial sackings thread, the Premier League thread .....
I'm enjoying all these comments about how rubbish Spurs are. Keep them coming in as many places as possible!2 -
Problems started when they didn't fund Poch after the Champions League final. Started the rot.Steven81 said:

Southgate has been quiet!!!0 -
Don't get excited - they're never going down, and neither are Wet Sham. Burnley & Wolves are doomed, and Forest or Leeds will go with them3
-
If Forest win tonight and Spurs lose their next game which is against Arsenal then things will really get interesting1

Forest is a cracking away day!kilian_om said:
No need to lump in Nottingham with those other places...sam3110 said:a small consolation for the muggy pricks down in Croydon staying up yet again would be Spuds or Wet Spam coming down.
Knowing our luck they all survive, Millwank go up and we get the dream destinations of Burnley, Wolverhampton and Nottingham next season1 -
I remember when they got relegated to the old 2nd division in the late 70's, we stuffed them 4-1 at the Valley !5

Sadly I have to agree.Leroy Ambrose said:Don't get excited - they're never going down, and neither are Wet Sham. Burnley & Wolves are doomed, and Forest or Leeds will go with them0 -
No chance of them going down. No chance of any London or Surrey side going down unfortunately0
-
I agree that i don't think Spurs will go down but West Ham are still bang in trouble. They are 6 points behind Leeds and could be 5 behind Forest by tonight, plus have a worse goal difference than both.Leroy Ambrose said:Don't get excited - they're never going down, and neither are Wet Sham. Whatever happens it's still far more interesting than recent years.0 -

Especially as he will walk into another job pretty quickly.1 -
He's too busy hanging with his best mates Al and Tone.JustFloydRoad said:1 -
I saw a fan’s account on X rating their potential successors out of 10. The bloke was deluded enough to include Klopp and Xabi Alonso on the list. It’s mad how they think they’re still likely to get someone like that given how far back they’ve gone as a club2
-
Xabi Alonso and Klopp? Yeah right - they need to think realistically now.

I'd like to see all big name clubs relegated at some point. Spurs Liverpool Arsenal, City , Utd, great for the championship.
Burnley, Wolves ,W Ham etc abit meh2 -

All clubs have players on the injured list but Spurs must have about 10 first team on the treatment tables.0

The 1961 merchants are a CV wrecker. Simeone and Guardiola would not bring success there.0 -
Spurs or Palace to go down would love it.
Remember last time Spurs played in old division 2, we beat them 4-1 Flanagan hat trick in front of 30,000 fans.
That was 75/76 season,50 years on could it happen again?4 -

It certainly could, if they were still three points from the bottom three with three games to go their bottle could easily go and they would fold.

Palace always. More than West Ham, more than Tottenham.6 -
No chance they’re getting relegated. Anyway. Apart from the comedy value we really don’t want teams like Spurs in The Championship next season assuming we’re still there too.1

For context they always like to say they'll parade their latest glittery thing in Woolwich (I know why they say it, but that doesn't mean I can't make the joke)

Close the thread, being able to attract a superstar like Igor Tudor can only end well for everyone can’t it?3
