Jones would square up to an actual Grizzly Bear if it worked for his former club and we'd just take three points off them. Doubt he's too bothered by Shawcross.

Dykes is proving to be a revelation, the new signings are all having a big impact. Godden is back. Happy Days.

I saw that as a must not lose game rather than must win. Would have been happy with a point pre kick off. To get the win is huge. Well in boys. UTA.

I'd like to agree, but I'd get Williamsed.

Brilliant result. Everyone of our players ran their bollocks off tonight to get that result.

Defence was outstanding and great to see Ramsay having a great game again.

I know Docherty will get stick from some but my God, he put some work in tonight. Some great tackles, constantly breaking up their play - he may not be the most gifted player we have but he gives everything.

Dykes makes another goal. Got to be honest  thought Campbells first touch was going to eff the chance up.

And very amusing to see Jones give the Stoke fans stick at the end. Or at least until one of their coaching staff who looked about a foot taller than Jones intervened!

    Ryan Shawcross.
Ryan Shawcross snapped Aaron Ramsay's leg in half. Love child of Kevin Muscat and Lurch. Vile man.
Sounds like Jones made a wise decision to turn round and head straight to the dressing room!

Delighted to beat a very ugly Stoke side, who took every opportunity to leave afters on our players. Especially their number 40, what a scumbag, and their 21 who had two hands full of his opponent's shirt for most of the match. They moved the ball at a snail's pace and did everything they could to kill any energy in the game. I laughed watching their keeper suddenly hurry up when earlier he was content to stand on the ball for 30 seconds.

That Leicester collapse last night is looking even better for us now.

Probably speaking to soon but I think we are safe now I really can’t see teams below us picking up enough points plus I have a feeling as long as we don’t lose Bell or Jones we might go on a run and suprise a few teams on the run in

Normally when I’m shitting myself from someone I walked straight up to them.
    Exactly.

Low quality game but TC was the game changer off the bench and after his 1st attempt was saved, it was great to see his composure when Dykes won the headed flick on and the defender slipped and Campbell finished with aplomb.

Vital 3 points and we aren't exciting to watch but 3 clean sheets in a row since the humiliation and 7 points ahead of the drop.

Positive to see Carey put in 2 out of 3 good corners.
  • This back 3 are so much more reliable
Proper wingbacks inc. first 90 mins for Chambers
Godden now up to 60 mins
Dykes doing a proper job up top
    7 points to 22nd
    Looking gooood CAFC

Horrible night, horrible weather, horrible opponents, horrible game, lovely three points.

Shout out to TC for scoring the winning goal but Dykes was MOTM.

Just win games. Anyway, anyhow, anywhere.

We seem to have found a spine and  I 100% praise the gaffer for that.
Dykes,Doch,Coady,Jones,Ramsay and Bell provide a real bit of steel since they've come together.
It's not necessarily pretty but it's mighty effective and I'm here for it!

Just got back from the game - massive win and hands up from me for predicting a loss.

    All our team were immense.

    Onwards and upwards !!

Back to being an organised competent if not great team.

Always in the game and rarely looked too troubled.

    Clarke impresses each game.

In a very industrious manner, he does the hard work efficiently and showed excellent strength shielding of the ball, when the forward attempted to push and run around him, on a few occasions.

I thought Stoke were very ordinary and never really impressed. But for a few nervy moments, we allowed them to have possession and they did very little with it.

Finally, did anyone notice NJ go up to Stoke manager on the pitch and he leaned into his face like a madman and said something....oh how is love to hear exactly the words uttered.

I couldn't give a feck on how pretty we play right now. The QPR manager said we just play long ball, well Stoke never read the script because that is our goal in a nutshell. Kaminski boom, Dykes knock-down, and TC charges after it beating the defence and only the keeper to beat, side steps and game over (almost).
Is the QPR manager for real? They were even more direct than we were, I thought so anyway!

Oh, and we beat 11 men. And deserved to do so.

That's our 1st win against 11 since we beat Oxford on 20/12/25.

  • Given other results that is an excellent win

Easy to forget that 4 of the 11 who started weren't here a month ago. To get all of them to gel, look important cogs in the machine and use them to regain the balance we missed is seriously impressive
And I'm sure people said that the January transfer window is poor one to do business in 🤷‍♂️

God I love it when you talk dirty.
  • Great result that’s all that matters

Spanners online on meltdown that 6 year thread could me a double digit meltdown 😂

Back it up next week and we’ll be fine

    We've got our Campbell back!

And all because he wasn't expected to play LWB.

Well done to them, they fighting for it so well done to Jones for getting them solid and battling again which seemed inconceivable after millwall

albeit against an apparently depleted and pretty poor Stoke

another shit game with almost no attacking plan but we don’t care , all we need is results and great to see them defending properly again most of the defence imperious tonight

tc almost fucked up the goal 😬

docherty was actually superb defensively but when he’s on the ball good lord , my left foot is better than his

It's not a poor one to do business in but it is a tough one. Which makes the returns and the patience shown to get the right players even more impressive

I thought they edged it and we were a bit lucky but everyone else seems to think the opposite… and yet I’m very rarely wrong so who knows 😉.

Perhaps I’m forgetting that we could and should have been 2-0 up within the first twenty minutes. They grew into the game after the first JRS chance and dominated the ball for long periods, though were a bit toothless. Lawal going off stifled them a bit, and I didn’t understand why they took Thomas off in the second half. He looked very dangerous. They had a couple of goalmouth scrambles but overall we defended pretty well.

I thought Jones needed to change it just before the TC goal but the bench wasn’t particularly strong tonight. We need Miles back really as we lose so much if Dykes or him goes off without the other to replace.

Incredible stamina from Dykes, Jones and Doc in particular. So, so, so pleased for TC. Huge result.

Solid win. Defensively we are getting back to where we were at the start of the season. Might be tempting fate but I think we'll stay up easily if we keep up these sort of performances

Can't beat a midweek win M25 fucked stuck in traffic getting home from work uming and aaring wether to go in the rain but you can't let the team down and miss out cos you never know what will happen, so proud of the players tonight thought it needed freshening up in the middle way earlier again but Campbell came on and showed us what we was missing.
