Wonder when walk up prices will be announced, surely that would help some people make a decision? Although at a guess its a few £ per game. If it averages at £32 a game, you need to attend 17 games to bother committing, or 18 games at £30... and thats at phase 1 pricing (zone 3)3

There was much less to do on a Saturday in the 70's and 80's - the ground was never at capacity then either.Kindoncasella said:

I may have read this wrong but on the website it shows the phase 1 prices for 25-26 season , and my seat being priced then at £380 , over 65 but I know that I paid only £360 meaning this season price of £415 is an increase of £55 can someone tell me if I have got this wrong0
-
The prices you're looking at are for if you had a ST in 25/26 or not. If you are a current ST holder it's £380, if you're buying a new ST having not had one in 25/26 then it's £415redashdave said:I may have read this wrong but on the website it shows the phase 1 prices for 25-26 season , and my seat being priced then at £380 , over 65 but I know that I paid only £360 meaning this season price of £415 is an increase of £55 can someone tell me if I have got this wrong0 -
If you renew [existing season ticket holder] before 28th April the price will be £380, a new season ticket holder will pay £415.redashdave said:I may have read this wrong but on the website it shows the phase 1 prices for 25-26 season , and my seat being priced then at £380 , over 65 but I know that I paid only £360 meaning this season price of £415 is an increase of £55 can someone tell me if I have got this wrong1 -
That’s because you disagree you plonker!!,instead of sweeping statements provide examples, didn’t realise you were the charlton life post quality police,That’s quite an achievement, I take great pride that it pisses you off so much. Yet another precious fucker no doubt. Have a lovely rest of the day😂👍Croydon said:

Should have made all of the the North W corner zone 1 too.1

I have the young "erberts "near me from last season, or it seems so.golfaddick said:Is the "16-20" blocks a new thing ? Do we really want young 'erberts that close to the away fans.
Or am I reading it wrong?0 -

Well why not get one before the 28th of April. If your a new ST holder and 65 or over it'll be £470 or just under £20.50 per match in the centre 2 blocks. That's £20 cheaper than the renewal price last yeargolfaddick said:Not being a current ST holder I dread to think what price what a normal ST in the AC stand will be come July.
And with the current way we play I will be going less & less. Just the Spurs & Millwall matches I expect 🙂
In the rest of the AC stand Its £415 if your a new ST holder. That's £18 per match.
Last year I renewed just before the phase 1 deadline and it cost £490, when I renew this year it'll cost £435 so £55 cheaper than last year and only £19 per match.0 -

Can only comment on a personal level but I’ve sat in the same seats in the AC stand in E block since 1994 but haven’t had a season ticket for some time, partly apathy under the Roland years and also because of value for money as midweek games are a bit tricky so I miss a few
I also felt the pricing was all wrong in those middle blocks where effectively the person sitting a few metres away from me in F block was paying £150 less for a STNow that’s changed the price difference is £50 and the hassle of buying £40 tickets for every game this season means that I’ll probably get my first ST for about 16 years next season
Appreciate it’s not as important in the wider context of the masses behind the goal paying a bit more but shows the club have listened9 -
I've attempted to renew season tickets in the family stand.
Price should be £355 for me...
...and £0 for the boy (U12s are £35 in the family stand, but the first child is free)
Instead, it goes into my basket as £355 for me and £70 for him. £70 being the U12 price in the Covered End Lower.
I experience the equivalent issue if I attempt to buy two seats as a new customer - should be £380 + free - but I see £380 + £80.
And no, the child prices don't drop to zero once at the payment stage.
If my experience is the same as everyone else, no one is renewing/buying online in the family stand. Unless they're inadvertently, or willingly, overpaying.
For anyone who has already bought in the family stand - suggest you check your email receipt, you may have paid too much.5 -
Oh it doesn't piss me off, so don't pat yourself on the back too much. You are just clearly the 'plonker' here, not me.Sword65pf said:

Just curious why you think it’s a hassle buying per game?Southendaddick said:Can only comment on a personal level but I’ve sat in the same seats in the AC stand in E block since 1994 but haven’t had a season ticket for some time, partly apathy under the Roland years and also because of value for money as midweek games are a bit tricky so I miss a few

To me the relative ease of buying online per game is actually a factor in reducing the relative advantage of a ST especially if you know you won’t / can’t attend every game.1 -
And you also get the bonus of paying the £1.50 transaction fee.valleynick66 said:

If we get relegated, suddenly those prices loom astronomical. Haven’t read the whole thread, so forgive me if this has been covered. Is there a reduction for league one?
Not that I am overly bothered. Nothing there will
tempt me back to the ground as a season ticket holder. Will stick to my £200ish CAFCTV annual pass.1 -

It is clearly a hassle having to make separate multiple purchases, rather than just one and is mind boggling that anyone thinks not.valleynick66 said:

I am indeed, I’m on the AB and was part of at least one of the Membership Focus Group Sessions.Fanny Fanackapan said:
Sounds as though you know more than I do ! Are you by any chance a member of one of the groups/personnel involved in the Fan Engagement " structure" ?sammy391 said:Fanny Fanackapan said:And so it begins......
Perhaps now is the time to share the strong "rumour" regarding the Membership Scheme that "our pal Gavin" mentions.
Once again, it is another ploy to " bring us in line" with , allegedly, other clubs & presumably to ensure we're Premiership ready . Another indication IMO of trying to run before we can walk ...or even crawl should the worst happen come May
"Other clubs " ( and I believe Millwall is included) allow ONE away ticket per supporter ie it would appear that you will not be able to purchase for others that you wish to sit with - they will have to buy their own....So, those of us who travel on a regular basis & purchase tickets as a group in order to share the match experience together, would appear to be a thing of the past. Presumably, but I'm not holding my breath, this will mean 2 separate purchases for a parent/carer who take their under 16 year old/s along....
And these away ticket purhases do not even benefit our club financially so why the need for change ?
The mess of allocating points to ID accounts this season has presumably been neglected despite angry fans confronting Ticket Office staff as to the manner in which this currently "works" will be no more, I assume.
So, the bare bones of the proposed ( or possibly already agreed ) Scheme which others have been made aware of in whispers/asides for some time, is due to be announced.
I have no qualms regarding sharing this with you, dear Lifers , as this is going to impact the faithful from next season. GC & co are merely pavng the way for the next piece of news which will soon be landing in our In Boxes.
It will be interesting to hear your thoughts, although I have my tin hat ready to be donned...
It's not clear whether some kind of points will still be awarded to away ticket purchasers and whether VG membership will still count in the process but I fear the Academy may well suffer should points count for nothing in the future plus of course the cancellation of the bonus when purchasing a season ticket as announced today.
I'm currently trying to hold back the Tingle in anticipation of the additional benefits mentioned for participating in the MS....
I trust that you will know that I'm posting this purely to share what I have heard . We may be customers to the Board , but we know the vast difference between faithful fans & the derogatory term used during the Belgian reign. And I may be doing an injustice to the money men in misinterpreting what I'd hard but as Mulder & Scully "said" - The truth is out there ".
Perhaps Weegie will read this & comment accordingly as CAST may have been involved in the consultation process along with the Advisory Board. That would be helpful.
Over to you, guys & gals, and if you don't see me in Crossbars tomorrow , you'll know that I've been detained, pending further investigation...or been appointed as the new CEO ....That’s a lot of ‘If, Buts & Maybe’ for something that is still in its build stages!Nothing has been confirmed, and I know VG (and its positives/love of) has been mentioned in almost every consultation phase and focus group.
id imagine it to start small before building up, especially if it ‘goes live’ after the season starts
Surely any changes to the method of buying away tickets has to be clearly bedded in & ready to go well before the next season starts. Our 1st match could well be an away one......
Fail to prepare, prepare to fail....
Agree with all you’ve said about the ticketing issue of membership, but I think a lot of the heavy lifting in your post is based around a direct copy of the Millwall Stance.
That was just used as a localised example of what the new Membership Scheme *could* entail but no what *what* it would. From memory, the away ticket stance wasn’t spoken about too much, but when it was fans clarified that the Millwall route wouldn’t be welcomed1 -

Personally I am surprisingly pleased.
Our Upper Covered End renewals are up from £460 to £490, but tbh I was anticipating £550, in line with the price charged to new holders after the playoffs win.
I wonder if they sold few at that price and realised their mistake.6 -
An extra activity certainly but I would not describe as hassle in this context. The system is ok to navigate.Covered End said:

To me the relative ease of buying online per game is actually a factor in reducing the relative advantage of a ST especially if you know you won’t / can’t attend every game. The post after all was highlighting the financial case of effectively not paying for games you won’t attend and I would imagine outweighs the (limited) time spent getting a ticket online when needed.Perhaps I just read more in to the word ‘hassle’ than intended.0 -
My East Stand ticket has gone down in price due to the re-zoning plus I now get, for the first time, the over 65 rate. Extra money to not spend in ground or shop.
If I read it correctly, for most of those renewing it is not the predicited by some massive increase, the opposite in fact.
For lapsed or new fans it is a hit but that is a reward for existing "customers".
Valley Gold would appear to be being nationalised.
As one of the museum volunteers said today he already has two memberships, VG and a ST, and doesn't want a third.
It seems the VG "entity" (strange choice of word in a well written letter from the chairman) will be merged with or pushed aside in order to give substance to the membership scheme. I agree with Fanny that not having this in place well ahead of the first away game of next season is a recipe for disaster.1 -
I do think it's interesting (and good!) that renewing is cheaper than last season's price hikes. Marketing wise it's quite a nice idea as it rewards loyalty. No idea what it might mean in terms of losses financially. Would be nice if they kept it every season though2
